1. The 'intended' Timeline

From Episodes 1-6, where you would find the black butler arc, introducing the general idea of Kuroshitsuji, and the red butler arc where a few darker themes are touched, skipping to Episodes 13-15 covering the indian butler arc, where we get introduced to one of the best characters in the whole series, Soma Kadar and his Butler, Agni. The rest of season 1 and all of Season 2 is non-canon and not relevant in this timeline. We continue with Book of Circus, Book of Murder, Book of the Atlantic (my most rewatched and beloved arc), Public School arc and lastly Emerald Witch arc. This is the Timeline following the manga

2. Season 1 Timeline

Just watch Season one. That's it. Season 1 works really good on its own as a finished 24 Episode anime and I personally find this timeline peak, as it basically squeezes all of what Black Butler is into one season, especially with the ending (many are unsatisfied with, which I could understand from an emotional view, cause we all don't want Kuro to end this quickly, even though we know this will eventually happen, or at least is played at from the beginning.).

3. Season One + Season Two

Season Two is a direct continuation where Season One left off, (even if the potential space that was lacking got forced into a working plot device) directing the attention over to another pair of Master and Butler. This was a really fun season and even though many consider this very crappy (which it quickly developed into after EP10 with the utter crazy shit going on) I enjoyed the ending specifically. Yes, it's pulled out of nowhere and yes, no one has any idea how this even makes any sense, but the ending has very much potential and is abnormally bittersweet in my eyes

(4. The Everything Timeline)

Not a Timeline but I'll call it that. Every Kuro fan will eventually watch everything they throw at us, so if we watch all of season 1/2 and all of the coming arcs we do have to draw at least an imagined line between them, as they don't intwertwine at all. Having watched Season 1 before reading BotA spoiled the potential of the Undertaker for me as the big reveal was already revealed but just set back? Also Lau died but came back in Season 2??? Hello? (At least if I remember correctly).
