Meditite’s japanese name is アサナン pronounced “Asanan”, right?

“Asana” is the name of the different yoga positions, Meditite being the yoga pokemon; and bulbapedia speculates that the “nan” ending refers to the japanese word for “soft or flexible” (軟).

However I suspect the “nan” bit is something else:

Meditite looks like a baby, and a word for “baby” in japanese is 赤ちゃん  wich is pronounced Akachan.

Asanan-Akachan. They are pronounced similarly.

Day 695 - Asanan | アサナン | Meditite

It can float through the concentration of yoga. Each morning they head out to do their daily meditation. It’s said that once they reach enlightenment, they evolve. Well, either that or it’s practice.
