First and foremost, I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season! I've been M.I.A. for a short time, but I'm back!!!
I've been working on improving my health and I want to share some results with you. I am sharing this because I know this is something many people struggle with and it can be quite embarrassing and unhygienic. When I was searching for answers, I couldn't find any personal stories and hopefully this will help someone.
I developed an underarm odor around January 2013 and at first I knew something was off, but I couldn't really smell it. As time passed, it became progressively worse and this past summer was when I started to smell horrid. I thought I would get better once the cold weather moved in because I wouldn't be sweating, but I was wrong. I would take a shower and the smell would still linger under my arms and I became irritated. It became so bad that my bedsheets, teddy bears and clothes would smell. I couldn't understand why this was happening because I eat a relatively healthy diet and I tried drinking lemon with cayenne pepper and olive oil in hopes that it would clear out my liver, but I had no success.
The body odor was stronger under my right armpit than under my left armpit. I did an internet search on this and I found ONE small blog entry by a man that explained a strong odor under the right armpit is a sign of a stressed liver. I also found a video that explained the cause of a stressed liver is connected to the digestive system and it made sense. I developed IBS during early 2013 around the same time the odor began. My liver became stress because it had to clean up after my digestive system because it wasn't functioning properly. Basically, even if my liver is detoxified, things will return to where they were, if my digestive system isn't restored.
I decided to do a liver detox, but first I had to do a colon and kidney cleanse. All of the products I used worked. During this time, I also used probiotics and digestive enzymes. I only consumed whole foods and no rice or other grains. When I take my showers, I no longer smell an armpit odor immediately after I wash, which is a sign that I'm progressing. I still have more work to do, but I have improved. There will be a future post related to this, so stay tuned!
With the colon cleanse I released easier and the smell was sometime stronger.
The kidney cleanse worked very well, I felt better and I slept better. The strength of the odor began to reduce while I was taking this cleanse. At one point, my bowel movements didn't smell and it was amazing! This really helped and I highly recommend it.
The liver cleanse was amazing, my body odor was completely gone for two weeks and my digestive system improved, but my body odor has started to come back, but it is only slight.
