They can't afford new staff. In fact, the recent paperwork about the new organization suggests that they're going to rely largely on volunteer staff. Meaning people who don't get paid.

I guess James Holt felt a paycheck was more important than loyalty and honestly...it's about time someone shoved that into the Sussexes' face. Not that they'd learn the lesson, of course.

Everything is slated to air this year (2025).

Was everything already filmed & ready for release, and Netflix doesn't have to do anything but release these this calendar year?

Show me the contracts if this is really about "new" projects.

Where are the projects happening in 2026 and beyond? I have seen no mention of anything except the supposed adaptation of Meet Me at the Lake, which doesn't appear to be going anywhere.

In celebration of International Day of the Girl, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, visited Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara to engage with young girls about their experiences growing up in the digital age. She was joined by⁣ Larissa May (founder & executive director of Half the Story), and Dr. Stephanie J. Hull (CEO of Girls Inc). (10/2/24)

This visit coincided with the announcement of contributions from The Archewell Foundation, Pivotal Ventures, and the Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation to support a partnership between Girls Inc. and #HalfTheStory, aimed at delivering essential digital wellness programming to girls in underserved communities across America.⁣

⁣Meghan Markle joined the girls for a screen-free afternoon of games, friendship bracelets, coloring, and some frank talk about social media. The Social Media U curriculum that Meghan helped test out last week with middle school–age kids was designed with the help of its teen advisory board. “We really wanted to make sure that the teens at “Half The Story” were able to give their input on the type of experience that we would create. Ultimately, we thought the best way to do that was to create a space of vulnerability,” May says, adding that it was even more powerful with the duchess in the room. “With Stephanie and Meghan, we talked about what it really means to grow up in this digital age.” ⁣

⁣“We did an activity where we talked through a bunch of scenarios, and Meghan talked about being one of the most bullied people in the world,” May tells Vanity Fair. “We had girls wave these little emoji signs and talk about how each one of these scenarios would have impacted them emotionally.”⁣

You can’t wear a symbol whilst committing crimes akin to Nazism and then complain when that symbol is compared to a Swastika. Canceling organisations for calling out the IDF and Zionism for behaving like Nazis (something that even Jewish human rights orgs are doing) because you don’t want to be political or hurt the perpetrator’s feelings makes you a coward. Removing funding is being political and taking a stand for a side. You’re not promoting love or kindness, you’re being silent and complicit.

You don’t get to commit genocide and then cry victim. You don’t get to conflate your feelings with the literal human rights of an entire group of people.

This whole situation and the last 12 months leading up to it have really shown me that Harry and Meghan aren’t different from other royals in regard to staying silent. They’re only going to support nice things that are safe and I’m not ok with it.
