based on this post from @make-friends-with-the-rats do i know if i made jake right nope but i ran with it and tried my hardest
Jack had set his bowl in the sink when he heard the door close. He looked over his shoulder and saw Jake.
"No." Jake said simply. He had taken his hat and vest off and seemed to be ready for bed already. "Was just comin' to help."
Jack only raised an eyebrow and watched as Jake came over to grab the already dried bowls to put away. He turned back to the sink and began to wash the next bowl. Usually Jake is more talkative but if he didn't want to talk then why make him.
A few more bowls were washed and Jake eyed Jack septically. "So..." he began.
"So what Jake? Yous havent said a word. Did I do someth-"
"When are you gonna kiss David."
Jack froze. He was so causal about it. Like it was an everyday thing. Jack could only feel his cheeks burning.
Jake rolled his eyes and sat on the table behind him. "Well just the way you two were the first day ya met ya know. Been spendin' a lot of time with him too-"
Jake held up a hand. "Cowboy have you've seen the way you look at 'im."
Jack wanted to glare. Wanted to yell at Jake to get the hell out of the dining room. But yet he didn't. Just staired back at him with a glint in his eye telling Jake he was barking up the wrong tree.
Jake hopped off the table, "Cowboy no ones gonna care okay. But jus' be careful alright."
And just like that he left. The door shut behind him and Jack slid down the cabinets. He put his head into his hands and sighed. He didn't understand what had happened. Well he did but-Jake was only serious if things were true. So Jake might be right. But no one had to know.
Jack looked up at the door way and saw David. He inwardly groan.
"Les and I have to go now. Wanted to say good bye."
How could he be so clam and collected. David just had to be the one boy who he liked. Jack frowned and walked up to David. Quickly pulling him by the collar so their lips could smash instantly. David didn't resist neither did Jack. Both also didn't want to pull away.
David felt his lips tingle as they pulled away. Bringing a finger to trace his own lips he didn't know what to say.
They both breathed hard as they tried to avoid each others gaze but David leaned back in. This time for a softer and fuller one.
"Took you long enough cowboy."
Jack felt his cheeks burn again, "David-"
"Shh Jackie. Why don't we talk more on the way to my home. Les fell asleep anyways."
"Okay." Jack whispered. Heart full of hope.
David kissed him again and it made Jacks stomach do a flip or two. As they carried Les out Jack couldn't help but see Jake smiling like an idot. Jack didn't know how but Jake always knew things.
