Which it mostly wasn't. The show hangs most of its humor on Murderbot being a laconic misanthrope. It (claims to) hate humans and talks about that in a deadpan voice. Insult comedy. Which doesn't land for me, I've never found being mean to people funny.

The rest of the main cast come across as the sort of straw liberals conservatives would write. The show also takes a swing at polyamory representation, and while it's early days the result is not looking respectful or promising.
