Well, there are two ways that I came up with them. All in all, I wanted them to be fire themed so that way they still went with the title of the series; The Flash and The Flame, and I wanted them to be symbolic in some way to the plot of the story, mostly by following their exact definitions of the words in the titles. So in order;

Flash Fire - That was Cadence’s first superhero name before it changed to Flare, and is her ‘origin story’ so to speak.  Also with the pace of how quickly Cadence appears and infiltrates Team Flash. Definition:

A flash fire is a fire that ignites and spreads quickly at a high temperature but that only lasts for a short duration

Crossfire - The revelation of Cadence’s past in terms of the Assassination Bureau and how the Reverse-Flash tied into it and how they were double crossed. Definition: Gunfire from two or more directions passing through the same area.

Fuel to the Fire - Zoom’s appearance makes it so that everything bad that can happen piles on top of Barry and Cadence’s and slowly starts an increase in tension between them and the Team. Definition: To make a problem worse; to

say or do something that makes a bad situation worse; to make an angry

person get even angrier. (Alludes to causing a flame to grow larger when fuel is added.)

Friction - The growing tensions between Team Flash with Savitar and Killer Frost, and the Assassination Bureau as well as the personal friction between Barry and Cadence. Definition: Conflict or animosity caused by a clash of wills, temperaments, or opinions.

Burn - The fall out from the ‘friction burn’ team Flash received from everything Savitar and Killer Frost that tore them apart. Definition:

be or cause to be destroyed by fire;

an injury caused by exposure to heat or flame.

It’s a few months into their stay at the hotel, and by now everyone knows who everyone is

So it’s not surprising to see James, Zach, Chris, Damon, and Y/N sitting in the Blue Parrot Lounge, talking together

It’s late though, nearly 3:30 in the morning, and y/n’s eyes are starting to flutter

Damon notices, as he always does, and wraps a gentle arm around her shoulder, tucking her into her side

Y/N refuses to fall asleep though, and keeps gripping Damon’s thigh to keep herself awake

Damon is rubbing his thumb over her collarbone, trying to soothe and relax her into falling asleep

Zach and Chris are talking to one another, Zach with his legs draped over Chris’ lap

Damon’s focused on the conversation while trying to get y/n to sleep

While James is sitting at the head of the table quietly, smirking as he watches

His daughter jerks every few minutes, trip tiightening on her boyfeiend’s leg, before it goes lax and her eyes close- only to repeat

He doesn’t say anything, simply watches before after a while, y/n no longer twitches

Her head is lolled on Damon’s shoulder, hair splayed out across his shirt

Damon is still rubbing her collarbone, a lazy smile on his face as his eyes sleep shut as well

Chris and Zach are still talking, before realizing both their ‘leaders’ have fallen asleep

“They’re a good fit. They’ll last even into death,” James speaks, startling the boys.

“Yeah,” Chris nods, “it’s always been like that.”

James smiles, “And it always will be.”
