I was tagged by @veliseraptor in the 9 Lines meme, which inspired me to actually write a fun brotp scene that's been rocking around my head for awhile. So thank you very much, Lise!!
The meme is simple: post nine(9) lines, exactly, from a current WIP. For me this is, of course, from we're a slow-burning tune, my f/f TOS Kirk/Spock AU:
To Uhura's eye, Kirk had obviously arrived for her own fitness routine, given their mutually tragic red leggings/bra situations and mutually impressive muscles—Kirk was a little taller, but not much, and had the same kind of build as Uhura, sturdy, curvy, certainly strong. She'd guess they were no more than five or six kilos apart if that. "Excuse me, lieutenant," Uhura broke in, dropping lightly to the balls of her feet. She turned to Kirk. "Did you want to use the bar?" Lieutenant Toothpick flushed, now trying to avoid looking at both of them. "No, actually," said the captain. "At least not if—please relax, Mr. Parker," she interrupted herself, smiling enough to take the edge off. "You have as much right to be here as me."
