Agate comes from the rock formation class of Chalcedony and also quartz. Agate can be found in many shades – from blue, red, purple, black, green, brown, pink, and more. It also comes in different varieties of style with varying patterns on the surface of the stone each offering a different meaning. (Mysticself)

The agate is a beautiful coloured crystal with 'lace' patterns creating a picture perfect crystal. There are many different types, such as blue lace, but they have similar properties.
Common sources: Namibia, Botswana, India, China, Brazil
Category: variegated chalcedony
Formation: most agate occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or ancient lavas, in former cavaties produced by volatiles
Properties: enhances mental function, improves concentration, enhances perception and analytical abilities, heals inner angers and anxieties, strengthens relationships, instills safety and security, assists verbal expression of thoughts (blue lace-cooling and calming, creates peace and tranquility, throat healer, mental healer)
Caring for your agate: most agates are dyed to enhance colour, so take care in cleansing. Use mild soapy water and clean, then place in a glass bowl of natural sea salt, then add purified water and your agate and leave for 24 hours before letting air dry. Charge- leave in moonlight overnight
Placement: agates are sensitive to sunlight and sudden temperature changes! Put where its most needed for energy replenishment. Blue lace agate is perfect for the health zone (East) and wealth zone (South East) and the red agate is perfect for the South West love zone
Clashes: avoid crystals with strong and similar properties in the same zones
