[January 22nd, 2018]
Okay my classes are officially starting off for the semester!!!
2018 has been going pretty well so far, working on changing my bujo style and fixing my bad habits. Plus Iâm changing what Iâm going to be posting, which makes my mind just feel more at ease? Like now I donât have to worry about finding lighting or arranging a semi-cute flat lay. So messy clutter and honest productivity from here out!!!Â
Back to School tips/ideas
I am no way qualified to give anyone tips but seeing as I have made mistakes in the past I feel like others can learn from this. I know that this is for back to school but I also feel like it is important to share some other ideas for the school year. As September gets closer and closer (or August depending on where you live) nerves start to ramp up and the first day of school approaches. Here are ten tips to help you get back into the grind.
1. Start Waking up early a week before school starts
What I find in the summer is that wake up real late. Like 12:00. So to handle getting up 6 hours earlier I start waking up at that time before school starts. This helps me get into the mindset of getting back to school and getting into the habit that I need to wake up early. Other things that help is to make your bed when you wake up because that helps set you up for success. Also, drink a glass of water after you wake up because you lose a lot of water when you sleep and you will feel even more tired because you're dehydrated.
2. Make a study space or study nook free of distraction
YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH THIS HELPED ME!!! I have always not been a huge studier and IÂ never knew why. I didnât get horrible grades but I could always do better. Once I had my own space I started focusing better and surprisingly, my grades got better. You can decorate this however you want. Make it AESTHETIC GOALS or just find a desk in your house. This is important though because we live in an age of constant distraction that you turn off all your notifications. I have mentioned an app before called freedom before but I found a new one called space which is much better. Also, make sure this space makes you comfortable because if not this could hurt you rather than help you.
3. Familiarize yourself with your teachers and professors
This was helpful for me last year. I did have another post where I talked about the importance of asking for help. Even if you donât even like your teachers it is important to make contact with them and not to ice them out. I was fortunate enough to have teachers that I liked and that were easy to talk to. If your teachers are hard to talk to in person send them an email and they will probably email you back. This will also help you later in the year if you need any letters of recommendation or signatures from your teachers.
4. Find a way to study that helps you (not others).
If you look around the studyblr community you will notice handwriting porn basically. Donât be intimidated by this. I made a post on the importance of finding studying tips so I will keep this short. Make sure that you are not bullied into doing something you donât want. Find what is right for you
5. If you like music, make a playlist
This is probably one of the most fun things on the list. When I study I feel 100% better when I listen to music. Whether you like chill pop or some hardcore rap then you do you boo boo. Some people also like to listen to music in different languages when they study their world language. I think that @studypuppers made a post about world language playlists. really just have fun with this. I am really digging Keshaâs new song praying it gives me chills when I listen to that.
6. Take breaks and find ways to relieve stress
Make sure that it isnât 24/7 365 studying even though we have all been there at one point or another. It is important to rest after studying and in between study sessions, I like to watch Netflix, read a book, or just listen to music. It is up to you but It is important for well-being to take breaks.
7. Do everything as it comes
I have succumbed to the procrastination gods and have put off work which leaves you with a black cloud. Do your assignments as they come. For example, if I was given an essay on Monday that isnât due for 2 weeks get it done right away so you arenât pulling an all nighter 2 weeks from now. It will really help and as much as you wonât want to do it it will help you 100%
8. Drink plenty of water and breathe
It is helpful to stay hydrated when you study because your brain wonât function as well if you are dehydrated. Also, meditation or yoga can help clear your mind as well.
I hope these tips help you guys out. I track #bohostudying ask box is always open

08.01.17 || well, itâs started- the dreaded summer homework. but hey, at least i have these tiny flowers to keep me going đ±
8-9-2017 . september . â« honeymoon - b.a.p âȘ today i: worked on my rĂ©sumĂ©, read part of a book, sent an important email
I havenât read an actual book in a lot longer than Iâd like to admit, but finally I picked up Letters to a Young Mathematician again, and it made me realize that my love for math is not something that will flourish if I leave it alone to fend for itselfâI have to supply it with new material, new problems to solve, otherwise it will fade like many of my other loves have. I have to be careful, especially with math, because while it may be found in everything from architecture to agriculture to electronics, itâs always hidden beneath the surface. Thereâs no way for me to passively ignore math and still have my love for it grow, no matter how much I wish that were possible.
But love takes time and love takes work, and damn if I donât want to lose this.
