More Actor!AU Headcanons for Our Bloody Secret!
Author's Note: I was asked What the actors think about the characters they play, Whether certain scenes affected them or made them uncomfortable, the theories they may have about their own characters, and other stuff like that, so I decided to dive into that.
Please keep in mind that I may get things wrong, and if I do just let me know, and I will fix it. <3
Warning: Self-Indulgence under the cut
@ourbloodysecretofficial
-----------
General Headcanons for the Set of Our Bloody Secret:
-The Director for Our Bloody Secret was pretty selective about who played who, they set out with a vision and anyone who doesn't fit to it is kicked out near immediately, or never hired.
The man who Tango replaced was the longest one to last on the set, but ultimately his vibe didn't match with what they wanted and so Tango was brought on instead.
The protagonist never had a person cast for them, MC was the only one to get the part.
-Although the director has a vision, they are rather flexible in the details, which is why Connor can keep adding onto the horrific backstory his character has, or any miscellaneous things that are brought about (Kind of like the Set of the Truman Show movie).
This will be referenced throughout the other character's segments :3
----
Aira
- When it comes to expanding on their characters, Aira has a lot of creative control.
The director gave her a bare bones skeleton to work with, as she was originally a side character in Tango's episodes, but the director liked what she added so much that they recentered her into a love interest, something Aira was incredibly stoked about.
So a lot of the facts about Aira in the Original AU is something Aira came up with in the Actor!AU with some exceptions.
-Such as the fact that here Aira actually has a much smaller family, and a much better relationship with her mother, who supported Aira becoming an Actress even when the possibility to be successful was so low. She wanted good things for her daughter, and with the Scream Queen crown over Aira's head one can certainly say that it worked out.
Her father was still a deadbeat who left Aira, her older sister and her mother behind and started a new family, but that's the only other family she has, with one younger half brother that she doesn't have a relationship with, though she admires Original!Aira with how well she knits in with her own half-siblings, whatever the reason for it may be.
-She is nervous about the reception she will have the more episodes come out, especially with the shift that wasn't planned in the Pilot Episode, but with her first original song exploding onto the scene used in a lot of fan edits about the characters, it's safe to say she's doing well for herself. (The song is gorgeous, so why wouldn't it?)
-Aira isn't super sure about what creature she's supposed to be, but she is very excited to know more, especially when it's supposed to relate to Tango's tattoos.
-She makes jewelry as a hobby, specifically silicone bead bracelets because she likes the feel of it on her fingers.
She was the one to put the pink silicone beads on her microphone, and she makes little bracelets for everyone on set, usually working with Tango to play little 'pranks' that gives people the bracelet, like a fist-bump that turns the hand up and opens it to show an egg that has the bracelet inside, or giving a jar of peanut butter that has a snake stuffed into it that has a bracelet around it's neck.
Harmless little pranks that get people giggling or grinning and taking the bracelet that was made for them.
-The Scar on her side is done with make-up, however Aira touches it sometimes and thinks about what could have been done to her to cause such scars and gets very sad.
Her theory on the scar is that in Our Bloody Secret Aira tried being in a relationship with someone of her own kind, unknowing that her partner had connections to her father that helped keep tabs on her.
When Original!Aira expressed a desire to be a singer and not go down a path her father would approve of, her partner- with her father's permission- tried to kill Aira and leave her for dead.
Actor!Aira likes to believe that if that was the case, Cronos took care of the partner and it was with the warmth of her family and Tango that she could be such a cheery and flirty person.
She likes to think that Original!Aira is on the mend... Though has some clingy and slightly paranoid Yandere Tendencies because of the betrayal.
Tango
- The fact this man is full of such green flags in a Romance-Horror genre makes Actor!Tango very curious as to what could possibly spring up from him that would make him horrific, though the Director has stated to him that 'A Lot of Green Flags is a Red Flag in itself', and that Jealousy isn't all that could lead to things going wrong.
-Originally in the script Tango didn't have an animal he was obsessed with, but when Tango was brought on and was asked what he might like to be an indicator of future unhinged behavior, he thought about it for a moment before saying with a straight face: " Sharks. He's gotta like sharks. It's like a fin in the water kinda thing."
Yeah, Jaws gave him nightmares as a kid, but he's much better about it now!
-Actor!Tango does not have any siblings (Only cousins he is really close to), but he is the dad friend of his friend group.
He'll still mess around and have fun, but good luck to you if he found out that you haven't hydrated all day.
He's also the best friend to ask things for, as he'll tease or roll his eyes, but he'll still do it with or for you.
In that way he relates to OBS!Tango and how he treats MC and Clara, and the dinner that MC eats on set is indeed one Tango made himself (His Abuela's recipe, of course, and of course MC did not have to force themselves to scrape the bowl clean).
-You know how I mentioned that Tango is close to his cousins? Well, with the resemblance it shouldn't be much of a surprise, but Clara is one of his cousins.
It was with how striking their resemblance was and how Clara interacted with others that she was written into the story as the beloved woman we all know her as today, pretty much lifted right from the woman herself.
(Also, the waitress from the bar, Emily, is another one of his cousins, who was allowed to be a friendly extra on set.)
-As for Sharky, him and Tango knew each other since Sharky was a kitten, so it's from their own interactions that Sharky perches on Tango's shoulder. The original plan in script was to have Sharky just hang around and be cute (And act where he needed to), but when Tango turned to the camera and they saw Sharky perched on his shoulder, the director went 'That. That's perfect. Can you do that more?'
-The riff that's played whenever OBS!Tango shows up was done by Tango himself, he is an excellent guitar player.
He also played for the scene that plays in the Darren vs Tango face off.
-Speaking of that face off, that took 16 takes to get right, because something always happens which makes either Tango or Darren or the MC burst out laughing, especially around Tango's snappy comeback threat to Darren calling him a fat bastard.
The first four times were ruined because Tango himself would break character and start laughing, the fifth time they got a good take, only for Darren to say '... You Promise?', which made everyone lose their shit, or another time where the MC waited for Tango to look at them and wiggled their eyebrows, which (un)fortunately ruined the moment for a good laugh.
-Sergeant Cross is played by a man Tango knew personally from all of his stunt jobs, as a fellow stunt actor (Surprisingly (or not) a lot of the extras we have names to were brought on by Tango.)
-When it comes to his character's past, Tango understands on a kind of level what it is like to lose a friend, but losing not just his friend, but his friend's wife and their baby... He knows Sharky helped pull OBS!Tango out of the depths, but he himself doesn't know how he would handle that kind of thing either.
The Tattoos he has in OBS!Canon is temporary in the Actor!AU, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have them at all. (He has a wild rose tattooed on his back ("Wildflower") and a scar-tattoo on his first major injury as a stunt performer as a reminder to himself not to get too careless.)
Dean
-Has the most spoiler knowledge out of everyone in the main cast. This comes from Desmond and the Director confiding things to him so he can have knowledge the other actors don't in aiding how he leads his scenes, so when Richard gives him a job, he knows exactly what kind of job his character has.
-This means when Apis and Mellifera showed up, he was the only one who acted cool as a cucumber when that aired, as it hadn't been filmed with anyone present, unlike Tango's ending and Lorenzo's ending which had other people on set for them to play off of, or Azul's, which had a lot people on standby for makeup and the effects, Dean's only had the Director, the Cinematographer, Dean and the two people who play Apis and Mellifera.
It really was worth it to see the view on people's faces.
-It was only after filming on Our Bloody Secret did his eyes get opened as to the other view of ladybugs, and he finds it rather fascinating. He got a bug dictionary that he reads to see if it helps brush him up more on his role.
-Speaking of, he felt absolutely fucking magical on the scene where he recited poetry and let go of those beautiful butterflies.
He really wishes he could pry OBS!Dean's skull open and peek inside to see what makes him tick.
-The only scenes he got uncomfortable with were the ones with Irene. In the Actor!AU she is such a nice lady, so at the end of the 'Mouth' scene, after a cut, Dean asked her if she was okay, to which she good naturedly laughed and waved him off saying she was fine and had been called worse in other series she had been a part of, but she appreciated his concern.
Lorenzo
-Like Lorenzo from Our Bloody Secret, he cannot be around Dogs or much animals, mostly because he is actually severely allergic, which breaks his own heart.
Like the original Lorenzo, he donates a good chunk of money to pet shelters, though unlike OBS!Lorenzo, he will watch Pet videos, if only to restore his faith in humanity at times. (Also like OBS!Lorenzo, he has two robot dogs, though those were gifted to him by his parents who wanted him happy when he was little).
-He got into ballet because his mother was a famous dancer. He would ask to watch tapes of the ballets she was in when he was little and just watch everyone dance with both of his parents and his older brother.
-His family was very supportive about his pursuits in ballet, and when he voiced that he wanted to be a romance writer, though they are a bit concerned with him also picking up acting that he is putting a lot on his plate. They are close friends with Azul and his family (Since they knew Azul since before he was born), so they all together and try to keep an eye on Lorenzo.
-When it comes to theories involving Our Bloody Secret, Lorenzo has a feeling that the noblewoman with the smell of roses is strongly tied to his character, but believes that his character is the reincarnation of the King. He might be wrong, but he's having fun thinking about it.
-When it comes to discomfort involving acting, it's been mentioned that Azul will pinch his cheeks to relax him after particularly intense scenes, he just needs some time to wind down after them since his personality is a lot unlike OBS!Lorenzo. He is also pretty vanilla in terms of Dominant and Submissive roles, unlike his other counterpart (Don't worry, he's a freak in other ways), so sometimes he needs a bit of wind down from that as well with MC.
The set is kind enough and warm enough that there isn't much stressing from one scene to another.
-Luna and Ethan, who are in Dean's episodes, are Lorenzo's niece and nephew respectively from his older brother. He dotes on them quite a bit, and they did good for their minor roles.
-Caffeine and sugar fuels him, so whenever you see him having a snack on set you would see him sneaking a cookie or slice of cake with his coffee. He usually works this stuff off to keep his ballet-ready figure, but just know if the last donut disappears before you get there, he definitely did it.
Azul
-A world-famous model and romantic male lead in films, there isn't many places in the world that haven't seen him plenty of times, his androgynous sense of style something that constantly draws eyes.
-His mother was a ballerina right alongside Lorenzo's mother and the two were the bestest of friends, so it was no surprise that it carried for their children as well.
Though, when it comes to their relationships with their fathers, Lorenzo was obviously much more lucky than Azul was.
It's why when Darren is making snide remarks to Azul about Desmond he gets such a visceral reaction, because it touched a nerve that Azul doesn't very much share with anyone but Lorenzo.
Of course, the discomfort was dealt with after the take, but it had gotten Azul angry enough to shake for a little while after.
-He shares a lot of traits with OBS!Azul, namely he adores frogs and is a pretty big technophobe. Most of the ways people get ahold of him is either through his agent or Lorenzo.
-He doesn't have many thoughts when it comes to theories, he's just eager to see what comes next and likes learning more when the director tells him.
-Most scenes for Azul don't make him uncomfortable because he is such a kind character (If a little overbearing at the start, though he knows that will change soon), so aside from the scene with Darren he's been having a smooth time.

Actor!AU Headcanons for Our Bloody Secret
Author's Note: If I get any of these wrong, please let me know and I can adjust as needed! @ourbloodysecretofficial
I will be adding a cutoff at the end for anyone that would want to write their own scenes or headcanons about relationships they have in mind with their MC, if anyone wants to, I would love to see some of the incarnations you all come up with :)
Baseline!MC in the Actor AU
General Headcanons:
-They are a veteran of the Romantic Horror scene. Anyone who has any interest in the genre will have seen a movie with MC in it, usually as the antagonist.
-As of present, they have starred in a total of 12 movies, five of whom would be the first titles those that love the genre would name, and two series.
-They usually play the Yandere, but they have also played bit antagonist roles, something their fans find delightful, it's almost like seeing an A-List actor shoot a oneliner before they disappear from the movie.
-They have a small but very passionate fanbase (Yes, there are thirst edits of them, and there are multiple videos of people going in depth about the movies they star in. Though no one outside of the Horror-Romance combo would have much of an idea who they are.)
-Wrapping up the latest movie, they find themselves in a pretty deep depression about the typecasting they find themselves immersed in. Sure, they like the job and they are very good at it, however they feel stagnant, like they need to try something new.
In comes Our Bloody Secret:
-MC heard about the movie from Connor of all people.
They had been friends since acting college, and when Connor got ahold of the villain role and heard the main character spot was empty, he immediately called them up and told them if they wanted a protagonist role then they would have to get on set as soon as possible.
-Desmond was the only person who knew whom MC was as soon as they walked in, a huge fan of theirs, which (practically) caused them to be hired on the spot.
-MC came onto the set after almost everyone else because the Director was so picky, so everyone was already friends and connected with each other by the time they showed up, which really helped add the isolated feeling MC would channel into their performance.
However, the set is very warm and friendly, so it isn't long before they're talking and laughing with the other cast members.
-Considering the amount of experience they have in this kind of work, they are usually the ones to give pointers to the yanderes.
Such as the scene, for example, where Dean grabs Darren's arm and twists it, it was MC that showed them how to do that specific twist that did the least amount of real damage without looking fake.

thinking thoughts about actor!steve and rockstar-turned-sometimes actress ex!gf being paired together for variety’s actors and actors…
I like to think that, in the actor!AU I made, Hakuji and Koyuki are actually married outside of their roles.
During the final scene they filmed, Hakuji was actually crying because the thought of losing his wife was genuinely unbearable.
After the filming wrapped up, they both needed some time to recover. Hakuji was constantly like "did I do OK?" and Koyuki was just cuddling him the whole time and saying "it's alright sweetie you were amazing, don't you worry"
