Hello, readers!
This year, in lieu of the standard pride month book sale, I am throwing my focus onto getting these books into the hands of the people they were written for- teenagers. So, instead of asking you to open your wallets, I am asking you to open up the website for your nearest library and request these books which costs you zero dollars.
Since every website is different, I can't give you the step by step guide I would like to. But when I just tried it it took about 5 minutes.
Secondhand Origin Stories
When Opal came to Chicago to knock on the door of one of the US's most respected superhero teams and ask for the chance to try out, she knew better than to expect them to be like their TV personalities. She never expected the trauma and turmoil of the multi-generation family inside, or the way she'd be swept into their orbit.
Names in Their Blood
Long awaited reunions and the need for the US's only full hospital for genetically altered people bring the Sentinels- and their family- to rural Minnesota. But when they realize that not only have altereds been going missing from the area, but the federal bureau that should have sent that mission to them has kept it quiet, they need to figure out who they can trust- and fast- or thousands could die.
So if you'd like to help get deeply character driven, very queer family drama with brain altering nanites, explosions, and government corruption into your local library, please let them know that. I think we always need more stealthily queer books on those shelves.
The links above lead the most common library purchase site. But also- happy pride! The ebooks are free for you!
Please help me spread the word and get these books where they're meant to be!
Simply wanted to draw a Jon. It's been a while. And it felt wrong not to add a Martin. Cow-mug or cat-mug? ----------------------------- image description: Two digital potraits of Jonathan Sims ex-archivist and his Martin K. Blackwood painted in a dynamic mixture of rough, broad and thin, squiggly brush strokes. The first images shows Jon's head and upper body, sitting and reading a paperback book. His long black, salt and pepper hair is gathered in a loose knot at the back of his neck. The black beard on his jawline, pointy chin and upper lip is not very dense. Small round scars pepper the brown skin of his face, neckand the back of his visible hand. Additional there is a thick pink-white-ish line stretching across his pronounced Adam's apple. He wears a thick woolen cardigan in a deep green and rectangular glasses through which he gazed with his large, heavy lidded eyes not directly at the book in his hand, but just over the pages at something else to the left. His expression is not fully open and happy, but certainly unguarded and soft. In the shadow of the book cover which has the symbol of a green eye on his, one can make out a black ring on the middle of his left hand. Martin is depicted as a light-skinned, big, broad man with a round face and tousled, ash-blond hair. He too wears glasses, although their frames a big and much rounder than Jon's. He wears a green-blue pullover and holds two mugs in his hands, both steaming with hot tea. One mug features the cartoony face of a cat, half hidden behind the tea string and paper bit on those. The other mug has a shaggy Scottish highland cow on it and the painful pun "Cow are you?" There are soft dimples in Martin's round cheeks as he smirks mirthfully down to his right.
My beautiful Thea and Bear!Thea
This is my first real portrait of Thea and I love her so much
I love her fuzzy furry face! She has those beautiful big brown eyes but by god is she traumatised under there đ
Thea uses she/they pronouns, and is asexual, aromantic, and intersex

We spoke to the creative team behind Gwenpoolâs âLove Unlimitedâ arc about the characterâs asexuality and embracing who she is at her core.
Acespec creators Jeremy Whitley @jeremywhitley, Bailie Rosenlund @bailiesartblog, Kelly Fitzpatrick, Alanna Smith @alannawrites and Kaitlyn Lindtvedt discuss Gwenpoolâs asexuality and aromanticism in this new interview for Marvel.
Itâs a really great interview, highly recommend reading it!
âAcespec people arenât often shown in media and when they are, itâs often shown as a trope of being a broken thing that needs fixing. The more diversity and stories we can tell, the better.â -Kelly Fitzpatrick
Love Unlimited: Gwenpool is available now from Marvel Unlimited. The concluding issue of this 6 part limited series will be out next week.
Check out this reading list for Gwenpool if youâd like to read more of her comics!
I think with Morgan, itâs partly about having philosophical issues with a mutant separatist state, but also about feeling as though the âmut
Gwenpool is the second Marvel character to be confirmed asexual this year, although she will be the first to have her asexuality shown on-page.
