Just a reminder that Writer and Artist sign-ups & prompt claiming, and Beta sign-ups are open, and will remain open until 16th August 2026 @ 23:59 BST!

Still plenty of time to join us, and lots of prompts to pick from! 😉

Would you like to help support one of our creators? Sign-up as a beta-reader or an art-beta! You are welcome to volunteer whether or not you're also participating as a creator.

Already participating as a Writer or Artist? You're also welcome to sign up as a beta for another creator!

A few other important reminders:

📧If you have already submitted a sign-up & claiming form, please check your email!

You should have received an email from us ([email protected]) confirming which prompt you successfully claimed, along with other important fest information, including a link to the fest Discord and a form to request for a beta.

Please check your Spam and Junk folders too, in case our message has wandered off over there! 😅

Please reply to our email, even if it's just a quick "got it!" so we know it reached you! If you choose not to join the fest Discord, email will be our primary way of contacting you about important fest updates, including mandatory check-ins and beta matching (if you requested a beta).

🧠Self-prompters still need to sign up and claim their prompt!

Submitting a self-prompt during prompting did not automatically register you as a creator. You'll still need to complete the Writer & Artist Sign-Up & Claiming Form and enter your self-prompt number.

👀 Sign-ups & Claiming Open Tomorrow!

It's almost time!!! Writer & Artist sign-ups and claiming, along with Beta sign-ups, will open tomorrow 25th July @ 00:01 BST!!

🔖 How Claiming Will Work

To submit a claim, you will need:

📧 A valid email - the mods will email you about your claim 📝 An Ao3 account - please request an Ao3 account invite if you don't already have an account 💬 Your Discord - optional, if you want to join the Discord server

To claim a prompt, you'll need to complete the claiming form and enter your top 3 prompt choices in order of preference. Claims will be processed in the order the forms are submitted and assigned based on availability, so the first person to submit a valid claim for an available prompt will receive it.

1️⃣ If your first choice is still available, you'll receive that prompt. 2️⃣ If your first choice has already been claimed, you'll receive your second choice. 3️⃣ If both your first and second choices have been claimed, you'll receive your third choice.

If all three of your selections have already been claimed, we'll contact you and ask you to submit another claiming form with three new choices.

Each prompt may be claimed once for fic and once for art, so a prompt claimed by a writer may still be available to an artist, and vice versa. Or you can claim it for both art and fic! You can verify a prompt's claim status in the Prompt Gallery, where it will be marked as one of the following:

🔓 Claimable for Art & Fic — available for both ✍️ Claimable for Fic — still available for a writer 🎨 Claimable for Art — still available for an artist 🧠 Self-Prompt — this is a self-prompt, and is not available for claiming 🔒 Fully Claimed — claimed for both Fic and Art, either by one creator or two different ones

🧠 Self-Prompts

If you submitted a self-prompt, you will still need to fill out the form! Just remember your prompt number.

✅️ Claim Confirmations

Once we've reviewed your form, the mods will email you to confirm which prompt you've been assigned. Please keep an eye on both your inbox and your Spam or Junk folder, as our message may end up there!

Please do not begin creating until you have received your official confirmation.

🧑‍💻 Beta Sign-Ups

Would you like to help support one of our creators? Sign-up as a beta-reader or an art-beta! You are welcome to volunteer whether or not you are also participating as a creator.

Beta sign-ups will open at the same time as Writer and Artist sign-ups.

Please note that signing up as a beta or requesting beta support does not guarantee that everyone will be matched. Beta matches will depend on whether we have a beta whose:

💞 Strengths and specialties fit the creator's needs 💞 Preferred fic length or art medium/style is compatible 💞 Turn-around time works with the creator's schedule (and vice versa) 💞 Squicks and other limitations align with the creator's work

We'll do our best to find suitable matches, but we may not be able to match every creator who requests beta support.

Hello writers!

Your submission deadline is fast approaching. You should have received an email today checking in with your writing progress and requesting your fic summary. Please respond to the email, it makes the modding process much less stressful for us!

We had some writers that didn’t respond to our 50% check in email. If this was you, no hard feelings - but please respond this time, otherwise we will assume you are no longer participating.

Please remember:

⭐ An Ao3 account is required to participate as a writer or artist. All entries will need to be submitted/posted to the Ao3 Collection for this fest, and as such, you will need an Ao3 account. If you do not have an Ao3 account at this time, we strongly recommend requesting one now, since the Ao3 invite queue can take some time.

If your Ao3 account is still pending when sign-ups/claiming opens, we'll ask for proof that you've requested one, such as the confirmation email from Ao3.
