How time flies! We are so excited for all the idea contributions we received in the prompting period, and we hope everyone feels just the same. Have you found the prompt of your dreams yet? No worries, the sign-ups are open for quite a while, so don't hesitate to claim it anytime. But for the eager ones, here we come!

Before you sign up for our fest, please remember that this fest deals with mature subjects and the participants are responsible for curating their own experiences within the fest. This applies to viewing the prompts list, which is uncensored.

Please make sure to read the rules and guidelines HERE on tumblr or HERE in a separate document before claiming.

Because the prompts are distributed on the first come first served basis, please, choose three preferred prompts for maximum satisfaction. You will be able to claim ONE prompt during the Claiming period (July 6th – October 23rd). We will not list the claimers name on the prompt list.

Another important point is that THIS IS AN ANONYMOUSLY POSTING FEST, so we ask you not to divulge the prompt you are claiming.

🔮✨ HD Tarot Fest 2026 ✨🔮

HD Tarot is a Harry/Draco fest that uses the Major and Minor Arcana cards of the Tarot as prompts for fanart and fanfic.

The art challenge is to recreate Tarot cards with the aim of one day forming a full Drarry Tarot Deck. The fic goal is to inspire Drarry stories based on the cards’ meanings. We have fics up for podficcing, as well!

No prior knowledge of the Tarot is necessary to participate.

Rules and Guidelines

What is a Big Bang?

A Big Bang is a challenge where writers and artists come together to create an explosion of new content for a particular ship. The first Big Bang was hosted in 2005 for the Drarry ship.

Rules

All participants must be 18+ to participate. Anyone found to be misrepresenting their age will be barred from this event and all future events. There are no content restrictions for the event; dead dove content is allowed. No AI may be used in either your fic or art submissions. Anyone found to be using AI will be barred from this event and all future events.

Author Requirements

All fics must center the m/m Harry Potter / Tom Riddle | Voldemort ship. If you are in any doubt at all about whether your fic is 'Tomarrymort-centric' or would like further clarification, please do ask early. Email us at tomarrymortbigbang [at] gmail.com. The minimum word count is 10,000 words. All fics must be standalone and previously unpublished, written in English, and 100% written by you. Please use a beta for SPAG, or plan to be your own beta. NO AI-assisted editing OR AI-assisted translation is permitted. There will be a mid-point check-in on September 30, at which point authors are expected to be 30% of the way to the word count minimum and will submit a summary and snippet in order to match to an artist. Submissions are due on December 31 (Tom's birthday). (Optional) Theme: There is no formal theme for this event, but if you'd like a couple of ideas for inspiration, feel free to use 'Birthday Gifts' and/or 'Fast Burn' as your theme.

Artist Requirements

All art must center the Harry Potter / Tom Riddle | Voldemort ship, and correspond to the paired fic. Artwork should be polished and complete (ie, more than a sketch). Submissions do not all have to be in full color, but should at least feature clean linework with thoughtful shading and composition. Artists will be contacted to request matches after fic summaries are due on September 30. Artists and authors pairings will be released on October 15. Submissions are due on December 31 (Tom's birthday).

Why 10,000 words?

HP fandom Big Bangs have ranged from 2,000 word minimums to 50,000 word minimums. As an example, Drarry Big Bang was 50,000 word minimum (source), Jegulus Big Bang was 20,000 word minimum (source), Remus/Sirius Big Bang was 20,000 word minimum (source). For the Tomarrymort Big Bang, writers will have between July 31 and December 31 which is 5 months to complete 10,000 words. Please only sign up for the fest if you can commit to this minimum word count.
