Completing week 2, was definitely a struggle. I had a sugar craving that I wasn't quite sure I could kick. Had some work obligations that had me questioning this entire journey since I didn't plan well enough to pack enough protein. But I can say, I got through it, I'm still on track and I learned the most during this week. • I decided that while trying all these recipes are fun (not exactly for my bank account) and for the most part yummy, if I'm gonna be successful with the @whole30 I need to be smarter. I need to pick a few recipes I love that I can maintain over the next two weeks and carry over for the rest of my life... • • So, I tried a lot of new things, but what I learned was leftovers for breakfast and lunch are so so key! You'll see many pictures of things that I had for dinner or breakfast or lunch, then again you'll see those things incorporated in other meals. I have to stop doing too much and trying to create masterpieces with every meal. It's about health and changing my lifestyle and of course, @lacroixwater !!! • • Thank you, @aczajkow for putting up with me and going on this journey with me. In the book #itstartswithfood they talk about a support system and after this week, I realized how important this truly is! So thanks! • • But I am noticing I am waking up easier. I'm definitely LESS bloated. Day 3 down... . . . . Feeling better today. Not as foggy but still sluggish. Tried to push through it and didn't nap. Felt fuller longer, but still hungry at times. It's a work in progress... • Meal 1: 2 poached eggs with micro greens and chili pepper flakes, handful of blackberries, 2 medium sized beets cut up, 6 strawberries and 1/2 and avocado... • Meal 2: same chicken, walnut, apple, cucumber salad with olive oil/balsamic vinaigrette from the Whole30 book, but I added beets and strawberries today!!! • Meal 3: Spicy/Crunchy ground turkey and cauliflower from the Whole30 Cookbook. Repeat from Monday night because we had left over ingredients and because it was SUPER yummy!!! • My @amazon package arrived this afternoon just before my flight, got my @wildzorafoods 10-pack and some @gochomps chomps sticks, I also picked up some @seasnax from @wholefoods and some @rxbar and olive snack packets from @traderjoes!
