A: What faction does your OC hate the most? Why?

Saying the Legion feels super obvious, but to be frank I don't think he knows or cares too much about politics. He only half-heartedly pays attention to information about what's going on in the Mojave early on and the opinions that forms are largely based on what he actually sees.

His most affecting inkling before being summoned by Caesar is from uncovering what happened to Carla. Coming across extremely visceral results of their violence, especially against women and children, hits more to him than general scared talk.

Even Nipton sort of feels like smalltime shit when you think about the amount of awful hell that occurs throughout the wastes in general. They just did it more systematically. Once he reaches Cottonwood Cove or deals with Camp Searchlight his concern really starts to sink in.

As soon as he leaves The Fort it becomes his mission to just wreck their shit completely. He's able to sort of ingratiate himself and play nice while he's there, but it's no holds barred as soon as he's done. Red hot awful vengeance for everything they've ever done to anyone.

Anyone second to them would really be by leagues of difference. I don't think he's really a fan of the Brootherhood, but that's mostly just based on their attitude. He'd probably know about the NCR-Brotherhood war, but he isn't really any kind of patriot, so I don't think he really cares.

Similarly I don't think he's really informed by the NCR's disdain towards the Khans when dealing with them. I think he initially has notoriety with them because he leaves Jessup and the Khans in Boulder City to fend for themselves, but that's mostly as personal payback.

In both the BoS and Khans' cases I think he leans more towards making amends than making things worse. His arc in general throughout the game is to try and pick up after shit he ruined before. He doesn't want anyone else to have to die for dumbass reasons, so he brokers peace.

B: Who is your OCs favourite companion? Do they travel together?

Cass is very much his go-to gal for a multitude of reasons. 1.) Both cowboy as hell, 2.) both substance abusers, and 3.) both need to let go of the past, and let's be honest, he's a Lady Killer and she's pretty easy on the eyes. And he likes them a bit feisty. Lol.

Cole likely was involved in some caravan business for a while before breaking down to become a courier. I think he'd find it nice to have someone weathered by the road like he's been. Plus she actually knows anything about the area they're in so that's super useful lol

I think he'd have her along most of the time, maybe switching out for Boone when performing more militant-specific operations, which Cole would want his expertise in. I think he feels a lot for Boone as well, but is ultimately a bit ashamed of himself around Boone.

C: What perk would your OC give if they were a companion?

The Cowboy perk already freaking exists as a damage booster so unfortunately I can't go with that, lol. Maybe something that maybe an effective higher crit rate? He's essentially the concept of a guy who keeps succeeding at things that he really shouldn't, so more crits LOL

Branches in perks look like they generally lean towards the companion obtaining more survivability or more damage output, so I feel that would stay consistent. Something something I don't want to be this animal anymore or sink deeper in to the primordial sludge moment

Alternatively I could see choosing between a greater critical multiplier (change in the base multiplier or every multiplier gets increased by one. idk i'm not a game designer) or get a general percent damage increase. Win bigger when you do or try to be consistent...

F: Does your OC do/deal chems? What are their thoughts on chem users/sellers? + S: Does your OC have any health problems? Mental or physical? (combining because they kind of go hand in hand)

I think Cole may deal with chronic pain issues and undergo some amount of pain management, if self-prescribed. He's been on the road a long time, had some really bad accidents, and recently had a brush with death, so I do think his body's pretty beat up.

Jumping all the way up to freaking morphine with Med-X is pretty crazy though, laughs. Idk if the Followers will fill your freaking Ultram prescription at the Fort, dude. Maybe he tries to control his usage, hit at night to try to get him to sleep through it all.

I also don't think he'd be above using something like Jet or any natural soothing substances, either. Paw-paw's getting into the ganja again to ease his arthritis and chill the fuck out. He's also kind of an alcoholic and totally willing to mix all three things together.

He doesn't necessarily hold anything against anyone who makes or deals chems. It's the responsibility of whoever takes them to deal with the consequences, including himself. He's completely understanding of anyone ready to be a disappointment to everyone around them too, lol.

At the same time, I think he makes a big stink eye at any snot-nosed kid to make his first buy to get hyped up on Jet. He's not eager to stand by and let some someone ruin their life that early, it's the least he can do to try and keep there from being more bozos like him.

Q: What weaponry does your OC use?

Cole is full cowboy, babeyyyyy!!!!! He progresses pretty smoothly through the game upgrading up the Cowboy-affected weapons till he reaches the Usual Endgame Stuff, which I'll include here:

Holdout: Lucky or the Mysterious Magnum (usually use Lucky till I get the Mysterious Magnum, I've thought about him dual-wielding both and that's kind of cool as hell)

Close range: Lever-action shotgun

Long range: Medicine Stick

Melee: Chance's Knife or Blood-Nap (I don't really seeing him doing Lonesome Road... I sort of have a courier for each DLC, but if he did, he'd absolutely use Blood-Nap)
