Akuneko (AKNK) Basic Home Screen Guide
This is a basic guide to navigating your main Home Screen and other menus in Akuneko.
1) Lord Level:
Your Lord Level is essentially your main level. As your Lord Level increases you can progress further through the Main Story and receive awards per level gained. You need EXP to increase your Lord Level. There are several ways to gain EXP, but some ways include: interacting with the butlers (tapping them on the screen and having conversations with them), completing some daily missions, leaving the game for a period of time and then coming back, etc.
2) Mystic Butterfly Gems, Mystic Crystals, Butler Level:
To the right of your Lord Level, you will see your currently owned Mystic Butterfly Gems (the blue butterflies), Mystic Crystals (the purple gems), the name of your selected main butler (who is on the screen), and his butler level. The date and time are also displayed.
You can gain Mystic Butterfly Gems (éč¶ē³) by completing missions (more details below), reading stories, obtaining home screen bonuses (the butterflies/Muu that appear on screen; if you gain an item that you already own, it will be converted into a Mystic Butterfly Gem), etc. You can purchase paid Mystic Butterfly Gems by pressing the plus sign next to them.
Mystic Crystals (éę°“ę¶) are obtained when you get extra copies of a Demon Gear (éå°ę,Ā madoufuku) that you already own via Praying (gacha), and can be used at the Shop to exchange for other Demon Gear, poses, or background decorations.
You can increase your butlerās Butler Level by interacting with them.
If you are interacting with your butler and they suddenly get purple orbs around them and look like theyāre in pain, slide your finger quickly back and forth over them until the pink gauge on the bottom of the screen fills up, then lift your finger. ThisĀ ācleansesā them.
3) Menu
The icon on the upper right corner is the Menu button. Here you can change a variety of settings. Note that I use an Android phone, so some of the options may be slightly different on iOS.
A translation of the options is as follows.
Some brief explanations: -Master ID #: Your user ID, in short. -Date of Birth: This is set once you start the game and can be changed a maximum of three times afterwards. -Lord Level: SelectingĀ ādetailsā next to it opens up a list showing what Lord Levels youāve attained, and what rewards future Lord Levels have. -Main Butler: The lovely butler that graces your home screen. Can be changed at any time. Select āList of Butlersā if you want to switch to another butler. Butlers have a maximum Butler Level of 10, and increasing their butler level unlocks more home screen conversations; the majority of them are available past level 8. Some events may even require your butler to be a certain level to obtain event Memories. -Lifestyle Settings: SelectĀ ādetailsā to change these settings. The game asks for them pretty early on, but you can change them as many times as you like. Below is a translation of the menu.
-Routine Settings: Here, you can edit yourĀ āroutineā, which will change what kind of relaxing activities your butler will suggest for you at certain time periods. The options read, from top to bottom:
After Waking Up āstretch/āmeditate/āwalk During Break āstretch/āmeditate/āwalk Before Sleeping āmeditate/āstretch -Home Screen Sound Settings: Adjust various sound settings. From top to bottom: Background Music, Sound Effects, Voices, Environment Sounds. -Data Transfer and Backup:Ā Here, you can set up how to backup your data and how to transfer your data to another device. -Performance Settings: Selecting āEnergy Saving Modeā saves battery but the charactersā movements are less fluid. If you find that your game is loading slowly, consider clearing your cache to see if it performs any faster. -Miscellaneous->Calendar Settings: This is where you select which calendar app(s) on your device the game refers to when you use Akunekoās calendar.
4) Left-hand drop drown menu
The options for this menu are: -Zoom-in/Zoom-out option -Info (mail and notices) -Missions -Giftbox -the former Recipes/Trivia/Memories tab (this has been moved to the Album tab on the bottom right)
Regarding Missions:
The Daily Missions are: -have 10 conversations with your butler (reward: 80 EXP) -have 15 conversations with your butler (reward: 110 EXP) -Meditate once (reward: 5 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Stretch once (reward: 5 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Share your butlerās outfit on SNS (can be done through the Closet) (reward: 10 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Receive 5 random bonuses (reward: 80 EXP) -Receive 10 random bonuses (reward: 10 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Complete all above missions (reward: 50 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Watch one ad (tap the button on the left to watch the ad, reward: 20 Mystic Butterfly Gems)
These missions have been simplified as of 2022/05/13, but I am leaving the old missions here for chroniclingās sake. The new Daily Missions are as follows:
-Obtain 1 random bonus (reward: 5 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Have 5 conversations with your butler (reward: 5 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Obtain 3 random bonuses (reward: 10 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Complete all above missions (reward: 50 Mystic Butterfly Gems) -Obtain 5 random bonuses (reward: 80 EXP) -Have 10 conversations with your butler (reward: 80 EXP) -Have 15 conversations with your butler (reward: 110 EXP) -Watch one ad (tap the button on the left to watch the ad, reward: 20 Mystic Butterfly Gems)
Once you complete a mission, you can claim the reward by tapping the red button. The missions reset at midnight.
5) āTurns Till Butler Starts Workingā
When you converse with a butler, this number (in the screenshot above, it is 11/11) will go down by one. Once it reaches 0/X (the max number changes depending on your butlerās level), your butler will beginĀ āWorkingā and you will not be able to interact with him until he finishes.
If you tap on the timer, a window will pop up asking if you want to watch an advertisement to reduce the countdown to zero, allowing you to continue interacting with your butler. You can do this a maximum of five times a day.
6)Ā Story
Here, you can read stories. When you tap this button, this message may come up:
It is asking you if you want to continue reading the Main Story from the chapter you last read (this window will stop appearing once you finish reading through the Main Story). Select the red button to do so or select the black button to see the list of all stories (and select another story if you wish).
Akuneko has three story types: Main Story (unlocks as you increase Lord Level), Butler Stories (individual character stories; each butlerās basic story is unlocked from the start, other stories are unlocked by increasing their Butler Level to two, or by gaining SSR cards), and Event Stories (these stories are still available even after the event ends).
7) Closet
This is where you can change your butlerās outfit (Demon Gear).
8) Pray (gacha)
This is where you can roll for Demon Gear.
If Iām not mistaken, in Akuneko, cards/stories are technically attached to high rarity (SSR) Demon Gear. I wonāt go into too much detail here, but basically you select the banner that has the butler(s) you want, and in the āPick Upā box (the red circle in the screenshot above) select which SSR you are aiming for. This slightly increases the chances of your selected SSR appearing, and slightly lowers the chances for others.
For every pull you make in a banner, you gain one Point (see the red rectangle in the screenshot; I did two 11-pulls on this banner, so I have 22 points). You can accumulate points to exchange them for other Demon Gear sets (tap on the button that says äŗ¤ęę, āexchange shopā). You need 132 points to exchange for another Demon Gear set. Note that these Points are not shared between banners.
Banners that ran during events will still be available even after the event finishes. However, the amount of Mystic Butterfly Gems needed to pull on the banner will be higher than normal, so it is recommended that you pull while the event is ongoing.
9) Shop
If you Pray and obtain a copy of a Demon Gear you already have, you will gain one Mystic Crystal. With enough Mystic Crystals you can exchange them for other Demon Gear, facial expressions/poses, or background decorations at the Shop. When you select a Demon Gear it will ask if you want to try out just the piece you selected (left option), or the whole set of the piece selected (right option). Select an option, and if you decide to buy it, tap the blue button at the bottom that says č³¼å „ (āpurchaseā).
10) Album
The Album tab is where you can view cards you have obtained, memories, Demon Gear, etc.
Memories are short messages attached with an image of the butler that you can obtain through events, special days, completing certain SSR cardās stories, etc. Recipes and Trivia are obtained randomly via home screen conversations with your butler.
To view an SSR card youāve obtained, select a butler from the list (or you could select All Butlers to see all your cards at once), and then select a card to view more information on it.
After selecting a card, you will see this screen. When you first obtain a card, it will be at Lv. 1. To increase its level, you either need to get another copy of it via Praying/the Shop, or use a Key of Growth (ęé·ć®éµ, you can see the icon for it underneath āLv.ā in the above screenshot). The main methods to obtain a Key of Growth are through events, and as rewards for obtaining extra copies of a card past a certain level (the level differs per card; you gain 3 Keys per extra level). You need 12 Keys of Growth to increase a cardās level by one.Ā
Raising the cardās level allows you to gain more rewards, such as alternate card art, alternate color for the Demon Gear, hairstyle, special conversations, memorable letters, etc.
The Voice button allows you to replay the voiceline that you hear when you pull them in gacha. Tapping on the book beneathĀ āStoryā will immediately take you to read it in the Story tab.
11) Slide out menu
Tapping this hand bell icon brings out a variety of icons. See below for what they are. A separate guide for the Task/Meditate/Stretch options is availableĀ here, and aĀ guide for the Alarm clock is availableĀ here.
Some brief explanations: -Schedule: Displays what events or plans you have coming soon, based on what you have entered in your deviceās calendar app(s). -Weather: Gives you a 3 day weather forecast for your location. If you tap this icon and nothing comes up, try turning on the location services on your device. -Life log: A log of what you did that day and how you were feeling. You can also view your log previous days. There is also a Diary function that you can use in this tab. Type out your thoughts in the large empty box and tap āäæåā to save. You can type out more text and then tap ę“ę° (āupdateā) to edit it. -Task: When you select this option, you will taken to another screen to begin a ātask.ā Your butler will essentially be a timer to help you focus on a task of your choice. -Music: Your butler will ask you if you want to listen to some soothing music. You can choose between piano music (left option) or a music box (right option). -Meditate: You can meditate here. Your butler will guide you through the process. -Stretch: You can stretch here. Your butler will guide you through the process. -Walk: You can have your butler accompany you for a walk. You can set the timer for how long you want your walk to be. -Alarm: You can set an alarm, with different sounds, like you would with any alarm clock.Ā
Iām not sure where else to put this, but: if you notice, thereās a red button with a ribbon above the slide-out menu. This red button can appear on your home screen at any time. If you press it, another butler will come and have a brief conversation with your main butler. This interaction makes the butlerāsĀ āWorkā counter go down by one (the counter mentioned above in 5). You will also obtain EXP from this interaction.
*Ā *Ā *
This was a lot of information, and I tried to explain this all as clearly as I could, but if thereās anything thatās hard to understand or unclear, please let me know!
Hope you enjoy playing Akuneko!

Akuneko (AKNK) Brief Guide to the Task/Meditate/Stretch/Walk Functions
This is a short guide to some of the functions that Akuneko has to offer.
Akuneko offers the Task/Meditate/Stretch/Walk functions as a way to help keep you active, focused, and promote physical and mental well-being. You also need to complete these activities several times to clear some One Time Missions.
You can access these functions from the hand-bell icon on the lower right part of your home screen.Ā
When you select any of the activities, you will see this pop-up. It is asking you if you want to begin the selected activity. Tap the red button forĀ āBegin,ā tap the black button toĀ āCancel.ā
1) Tasks
The Task function has your butler serve as something of a timer, where you select a location, time, and task. Your butler counts down the time while accompanying you as you do that activity. Thereās also gentle music/sound effects playing in the background.
Details of the options are as follows:
The gear icon in the top right hand corner is to adjust sound settings. These settings are separate for each activity.
To cancel the Task activity, tap the Close button (select the red button if a message window comes up to cancel it).
2) Meditate
This is where your butler talks you through a short, 2-3 minute meditation session. The meditation will be automatically selected for you, but you can change what kind of meditation you do by selecting theĀ āå¤ę“ (change)ā button on the bottom menu bar.Ā
There are four types of meditations currently available. They are (from top to bottom when you select the āChangeā button):
-Meditation -Meditation after waking up -Pre-sleep meditation -Praise Meditation (your butler praises you for about 3 minutes)
As far as I can tell, your butler says the same thing for each of the meditations (with the exception of the Praise Meditation), and the lines are roughly the same for all butlers (just with each butlerās mannerisms added in).
A rough translation of the first three meditations:
-Straighten your back. -Then, slowly close your eyes. -Take a slow, deep breath in... -Then, slowly breathe out... -Letās do that one more time. -Take a slow, deep breath in... -Then, slowly breathe out... -Focus your attention onto your breathing, and empty your mind of all thoughts. -Donāt think about anything. Just bring all your attention to your breathing. -Should anything pop up in your mind, ignore it, and bring your attention back to your breathing. -Take a slow, deep breath in... -Then, slowly breathe out... -Continue meditating like this. Donāt think of anything; empty your mind of all thoughts. (...) -This ends the meditation. Well done.
The lines for the Praise Meditation are a little different for each butler. Below is a translation of Berrienās, as a reference.
-StraightenĀ your back. -Now, close your eyes. -Take a slow, deep breath in... -Now, slowly breathe out... -Donāt think about anything. Focus all your attention on your breathing. -If any thought pops up in your mind, ignore it, and bring your attention back to your breathing. -Hehe... -Youāre someone I respect deeply, Master. -Amazing as always, Master! -Master, you are truly wonderful. -Impressive, Master. -Master, you are so kind. -I am always rooting for you, Master. -Master,Ā Iām so glad that youāre here. -Iāll always be by your side, Master. -Itās all right. Everything is going to be all right. -Letās do that one more time. (...) -This ends the meditation. Well done.
3) Stretch
Your butler guides you through some stretches or light exercises. There are also some simple illustrations of each stretch/exercise.
Thereās two different positions/exercises in each session, and you do them each two times. Your butler counts up to five (ichi, ni, san, shi, go), then asks you to switch sides, and then counts up to five again. He then asks you to repeat the stretch/exercise again. After that, you move on to the next position, and the same process occurs.
The stretching/exercise options are (from top to bottom when you select the āChangeā button):
-Stretches after waking up (1~5) -Stretches during your break time (1~5; these can be done while sitting in a chair) -Relaxing stretches (1~8) -Leg slimming exercises -Slim tummy exercises -Slim arm exercises
The last three exercises follow a slightly different process from the stretches, but are essentially the same (you donāt get instructed to switch sides, for example).
4) Walk
Your butler accompanies you as you go on a walk. You can choose between a 15 min/30 min/60 min/90 min walk. If you go on a walk with your deviceās location services on, it will also display how many calories you burned during your walk (I wouldnāt take the number to heart).
*Ā Ā *Ā Ā *
That concludes the guide on these functions. Completing these activities a certain number of times clears some One Time missions, letting you get some rewards or clothing, so try to do them whenever you can!
