Elaine Massacre - Sept. 1919 White Arkansans, fearful of Black people organizing, aided by federal troops massacre 200 Black sharecroppers after the Black sharecroppers got a white attorney and demanded fair prices.
After the massacre, officials worked on a cover-up, claiming that Black people were planning an insurrection. The victims stood trial. The only men prosecuted were 122 African Americans, with 73 charged with murder.
Once again, sharecroppers were murdered and land stolen. Generational wealth was stolen from the Black community, but by all means, let’s listen to Byron Donalds when he said Black families were better during Jim Crow.

Psych Season 8x4, the episode most needed in the final season.
I haven't finished the rest of the final season yet, minus the finale. So far episode four is by far my favorite episode in the season.
It was a breath of fresh air. First things first, I had no idea it was a remake episode, I watched it like it was any other episode and I loved it. There seems to be a lot of hate twoards it but It's the best for me. Why?
Have you guys noticed if the humor has changed in later seasons, even if just a little? Shawn, Gus, and Lassiter's humor feels like it lacks real humanity in it. Idk how to explain it but their humor matches the newly written stupidity of their characters. Scripted? I guess thats what it feels like to me. Either way, in this episode I had a some genuine laugh out loud moments. The way Gus decided to stall the courtroom was really funny.
Also, it's the first episode in a while where Shawn didn't openly accuse or almost have the police arrest an innocent person. His old cleverness returned. The loud and boisterious act Shawn had the lawyer do was definitely somthing early seasons Shawn did to make the criminals admit their crimes. He used the people in that room to charm, manipulate, and buy time when he needed it.
I liked how he wasn't messing around the whole time like a kid, he kept his eyes forward and did the case without overblown actions. When the girl was on trial and looking like they had no more options left, Shawn got serious and promised her he would prove her innocence. He didn't need help to solve the final puzzle. He kept the judge and courtroom wrapped around his finger with his and Gus's anticts even until the last second when he solved it.
It's ironic for me because I do not like remakes but it turned out so well. Turns out they could have brought back what I thought made the the show amazing in the first place. Classic real humor, (Less clowning around and manchild Shawn). Genuinely smart Shawn and Gus. Better organized episodes rather than the jumping back and forth chaos between the events and characters.
I very much enjoyed this episode and I am glad they made it.
