I think the regular kinda bleh/whatever feeling a lot of people have abt skip is understandable and I don't fault anyone for not enjoying the skip episode. BUT....I do think the vitriolic way a lot of people (esp on twitter) talk abt skip and how nobody cares abt them and how they shouldn't be in season 2 etc etc is not only 1) giving homophobia but 2) completely disregarding the story being told here. "why would skip be in season 2????" Did any of you read the books...Scott and kip are there....they hang out at the kingfisher with ilya....hollanov spend some time with them.....they are also the Reason that hollanov finally came to their senses about their relationship. like whatever reason you have for disliking skip (which at a base level is fine, if they're not interesting to you they're not interesting to you and that's fine!) the impact they have on the game changers series as a whole sets the tone for the rest of the series and relationships. they are a necessary aspect of the story. I very much doubt they are getting another full episode (which people are dooming about) but of course they're gonna show up??? they are still characters in this show. I find it really jarring the way some people talk abt this couple as if they're the devil incarnate or something. jokes are jokes but ultimately when you're like. SEETHING at the idea of them being on your screens again I do question whether you're here for queer rep and positive queer stories / whether that matters to you the way it matters to me and a lot of other people.
