CLAUDIA :DD
the procrastinator’s mind will invent distractions you’ve never conceived of in order to avoid tasks even a dog could do.
“We need to strive to be more accepting of POC” you guys can’t even handle religion.
White people, when it comes to religion you have to come to the realization that a lot of non-white cultures have a strong connection to religion. Religion isn’t just the thing that your parents used to be homophobic towards you. There’s millions of religions in the world and religion plays a big part in other cultures.
Also, Christianity and Catholicism aren’t the only religions in the world. Just grouping all of religions around the world and just watering it down to these two is not constructive.
Also, if you were raised Christian or Muslim, or raised not particularly religious in a culturally Christian or culturally Muslim society (aka most societies in the world), your perception of religion and what it means to be "religious" is vastly different from the framework that most peoples and civilizations have used for most of history. Christianity and Islam are both universal religions which view religion as a purely faith-based spiritual belief and practice which you either do or don't follow, and if you do, that's good, and if you don't, that's bad. In both traditions, religion is something that can and should be spread and can be easily mapped onto other cultural and national identities. That's the whole reason why Christianity and Islam are the two largest religions in the world and global forces of imperialism and geopolitical power, because they divorce faith from other aspects of culture in order to gain as many followers as possible.
But for ethnic groups who have held onto their spiritual and theological practices despite Christian and Muslim colonization, religion isn't something you "have" or "don't have." It's a part of your culture which can't be separated from other, "non-religious" aspects. Whether you believe in all of your culture's spiritual and theological beliefs is up to you, but they are there and they are part of the culture and part of your daily and ritual practices and interactions with others in your community.
For groups like Jews, Hindus, Parsis, Yazidis, Sikhs, Druze, Samaritans, and practitioners of folk religions indigenous to Africa, the Americas, and Oceania, our religion, however we feel about it, whether we believe in it or not, regardless of any complicated relationship we may have to it, is part of our ethnic and cultural identity. When you reject our religion, you reject us and our people.
You can tell a lot about a person by entering their mind palace and encountering their greatest fears and darkest hopes in a labyrinth reflective of their subconscious thoughts.

When I am king, we will valorize sanitation workers the way we currently valorize the military
So heroic posters showing trashmen battling allegorical monsters? I'm down.
Yeah but that's just the beginning. I also want Sanitation Worker Discounts at every business and blockbuster movie propaganda glorifying sanitation work. I want random people to salute garbage collectors and thank them for their service. I want drivers who get impatient with the recycling truck and honk at it and swerve around it to become social pariahs
You are very funny id like to protect you
happy new year -------------_--------------------
Ok like. Imagine life without ads. You wake up, check your messages across a variety of apps, no ads. You get up and put on the tv while you prep your breakfast, no ads. Maybe you drive somewhere and switch on the radio, no ads. Maybe you drive a long distance, yet somehow, not a single billboard on your path. You pick up a newspaper or magazine to pass the time, no advertisements only articles. You turn on your game console, the home screen is just about your games, no ads to buy more. You open a streaming app, you don't pay extra for no ads, there's just no ads ever.
Think about how much of your time is spent looking at ads. "Download ublock" yeah I know, I have. But that doesn't change that the world is covered with endless advertising. Imagine never seeing that again. How much better our lives would be.

when i was 13 i made up a group of ocs who were gifted the ability to teleport but with caveats that made it really irritating for them and everyone else. i can’t remember all of them but two. one of them could only pass from place to place through water. they could jump into something as small as a cup of tea and come out the other side through a puddle or something but notably they did get wet. so any time they teleported anywhere they arrived soaking wet. they had to go everywhere with a waterproof paddling bag as a purse. the other could only teleport between occupied bathrooms. any bathroom in the world was fine but it had to be in use. they could just ask a friend to go in first and cheat it that way but in an emergency they’d just have to barge in on someone with their eyes closed and yell “SORRY! SORRY!” and disappear immediately from existence.
OCD things that you don't hear about:
episodes of paranoia, delusions, and dissociation
cyclical thoughts/spirals
magical thinking
episodes that can be very similar to psychosis or mania
attributing human emotions to inanimate objects
dermatillomania and trichotillomania
false sensations (like bugs crawling on skin)
paying way too much attention to very small things
physical health issues caused by compulsions
symptoms that are "problematic" (doing things that are considered "wasteful", needing reassurance or validation from others...)
extreme, deep, dreadful fear of things that can't truly be explained
disconnect between emotional and cognitive/logical responses or thoughts
contamination fears
problems with addiction and dopamine regulation
other people trying to force exposure therapy onto you without your consent and it making your anxiety way worse
list making
