I’m a huge proponent of “Word of God Does Not Make It Canon” so Jake Schrier talking about how he based Bob’s mental struggles on a friend of his who is bipolar, is not canonical evidence that Bob is himself bipolar.

The film itself

Bob talks about his extreme highs and lows . He talks about how some days he feels invincible and then others he remembers that nothing matters. He makes dangerous impulsive decisions when in those two extremes.

The first mention of the void is Yelena talking about her own extreme depression which Bob later reveals that he too feels like that.

Sentry/Bob/Void. All the same person, just different facets.

DID alters have their own memories and personalities. The Void and Sentry do not, they are just heightened emotional versions of Bob. Bob has had these swings in emotion since he was young.

Yes, Bob also mentions having massive blackouts in his memory. But that is also a coping method common when dealing with bipolar. Maybe not as extreme, but massive highs and lows can get hazy or jumbled when you reach back to your baseline. And that’s not accounting for the physical traumas Bob suffered as a child and his self medication with hardcore narcotics.

When Bob tells Walker “You can call me the Sentry,” it isn’t him “swapping” alters. It’s a “don’t call me by that traumatic nickname. I, Bob, will not be a victim anymore.”
