I've noticed that Gripp tends to drum his fingers on Cornelius anytime he's presented some specific clues that put him at unease.

Alrighty enough stalling, some Almond headcanons cause I can I still love the old man
-Growing up he had a lisp and make his speech funny, as an adult, it occasionally slips out when he is talking really fast as
-He is deadly afraid of spiders, the issue here is that when he went to investigate Truffle's manor he nearly had a heart attack when he saw the spiders all over the place
-The young detectives often call him "dad" or "father" cause the way he sometimes approaches to them when training them like a parental figure
-After nearly loosing Walnut in SSCargot, he became even more over protective of her (this is semi canon after the last update he was in)
-Tries to battle not making any dad jokes but he cannot avoid it
-Being a girl dad, he sometimes gets jealous of Walnut talking to boys or them talking to her
-He couldn't bring himself to baby talk, not once when Walnut was a baby he did it, instead he had full on conversations with his normal voice or whispers with her
