does it....?

Have you ever worked really hard on something and wished someone would notice? That is one reason why rewarding students matters. When students receive certificates, prizes, or even simple words of praise, we feel happy and appreciated. It encourages us to keep working hard and doing their best. But we can also do our best and not be recognized, instead another student will be celebrated and we will be left standing.

Rewards can also boost confidence. Knowing that your effort has been recognized can make you feel proud and motivated to take on new challenges. They do not always have to be for getting the highest grades either. Students can be rewarded for improvement, good behavior, leadership, or helping others.

Of course, students should not only work for rewards, but a little recognition can go a long way. In my opinion, rewarding students is a great way to encourage effort, celebrate success, and make school a more positive and enjoyable place for everyone. We all have something we do to our best but not the world's best. But the question is are you rewarding yourself?

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The school looked like something out of a dream—its red-brick walls rose high and proud, trimmed with white stone and lined with tall, glimmering windows that reflected the morning sun.

At the very center of the campus stretched a lush garden, the heart of the school. Stone pathways curved through emerald-green lawns and beds of colorful flowers, leading to a grand water fountain that sparkled like crystal under the light. The gentle sound of flowing water filled the air, soft and calming, as if it carried away the nervous chatter of first-day students.

Benches were placed beneath wide, leafy trees, where older students lounged with books or whispered to friends. Everything about the place felt peaceful and alive at the same time—a balance of elegance and warmth.

Lucy: Wow. This school is huge.....no no no noo,this school is humongous 😮😮🤩🤩🤗. As Lucy was walking , she hit a guy, she was just about to apologize when he walked away. Such a weird school ,she thought. [ she walks away] [A the school reception]

Lucy: Ummm......,I'm looking for class 307 Receptionist 1: [annoyed but surprised]Just go straight ,then turn left, the last class of on the hallway is class 307 Lucy: Thanks[ She goes away] Receptionist 2: This is my first time seeing a girl in class 307 Receptionist 1: Yeah [At the entrance of her class] Just has she was about to enter , two boys pushed her while rushing into class. unable to keep her balance, she stumbled back, suddenly she hit something hard, looking back she saw the who she hit earlier. She quickly apologies not wanting him to think she's clumsy. Lucy: S..s..sor..r..rry,I didn't mean to Zaine: [staring her down]Typical Lucy: [Speechless]
