I've done the easy bits of writing my research proposal/report for the qualification exam in June, and now I have the hard bit to do. Hellllp. My student is handling it in the lab for now, but we are still butting against general biological mysteries and behavior, so there's that. He's like, "Why does everything have to be so hard?" and I really don't know what to tell him lol.

February 18th, 2026 | I must have read this book twice over the course of my phd and I'm pretty sure I'll forget everything about it again in no time.
