Ladies, let me help you!
How to get over a break up. Step One: Alone time. Set away 3 days for yourself. Set it for your weekend or book the days off. Go to the store with at least 20 dollars. Buy yourself comfort food. Ice cream, dill pickles chips & fuzzy peaches worked best for me. Don't forget to pick up some Kleenex. Put on your cutest comfy clothes. I always felt good in my little girl boxers. Curl up with your blanket and a pillow turn on Netflix and yes, watch those sappy movies. Or turn on the radio and listen to those sappy songs. Cry your heart out. Eat all that junk food. Step two: Write to him While your spending your time alone, reflecting and hurting. Write it all out. On paper. Write one page or 10 pages. However many pages it takes to get it all out! Explain why your hurt, say your sorry, reflect on what you did wrong & what they did wrong! On your third day of alone time burn that letter, set it on fire (in a safe place) or rip it up and through it away. Step Three: Rely on your friends Rely on your friends, they are there to help you. Vent to them, go out and spend time with them, have a few drinks with them, go out dancing! Step Four: Forgiveness Forgive him or her, better yet, forgive yourself! Don't hold onto your anger or your hurt. Take time to understand yourself and understand why your ex is angry or hurt. Step Five: Get Back On Your Feet Go back to work or school. Work on yourself. Better yourself. Work out, pick up a new hobby, do you hair & make up, go out with friends, make new friends, talk to those boys who seem interested, get your flirt on. Make yourself feel beautiful. Step Six: Say Your Goodbyes If your still not over everything at this point. If your still hopeful and hurting. It helped me to reach out to my ex. And just say my goodbyes. I told him "I was sorry". I told him "he would always be my best friend". I told him "he would always be in my heart". I told him "I forgive you" and lastly i told him "good bye & I wish you well". It felt like I was shutting the door and a new one was opening. I felt like I was trying to end things on a good note. And it helped! Step Seven: Dont talk to him! Don't message him anymore, don't look at his social media accounts. Don't text him or call him even if he messages you! Don't worry yourself about his where abouts or what he's doing. Don't go places you know he will be. Finally, Step Eight: Keep Moving Forward Look ahead, keep one foot in front of the other, work hard, keep busy, talk to people, learn to love yourself and most importantly have fun! Never forget that during this whole process it's okay to miss him and it's okay to cry.
