hi yeah i found out recently that the popular caramelldansen (you know. the one you know.) is actually a fucking nightcore remix and this is the original
forbidden knowledge
Caramelldansen is the ultimate relic of the past because it wasnât just a meme song it was a Nightcore remix meme song that got even more popular than the original.
Even darker secret knowledge the original dance also isnât that version either. Most can see the original dance in the background of a scene in Fast&Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Itâs not Nightcore, it predates Nightcore. The term you are looking for is Speedycake. After the late* DJ Speedycake.
The dance used in the vast number of 2d anime-esque caramelldansen vids has nothing to do with Caramell; it came from a gif on 4chan referred to as âPopotan danceâ that started as fanart of an adult visual novel because of course it did. Speedycake was making his remixes at the same time as people were making popotan dance gifs of everything, and the memes converged into a compound supermeme that swept the internet.
The video above is yet another fan-made video, using 12 characters from the iDOLM@STER series. (Hint: the band that created the song is Swedish, so anything obviously Japanese did not come from them).
The first official video released by Caramell was this version, six years after the song was first released and two years after it started to spread as a meme:
fucking terrifying how deep this rabbit hole goes
DJ SPEEDYCAKE IS FUCKING DEAD?!
According to his Twitter heâs just as surprised to learn heâs dead as we are

Behold my first attempt at an Oathbreaker deck!
I have played exactly zero games with this deck so far, but I had to try out my favourite archetype in a format with 40% less deck to mill than Commander.
The list is still in flux, so you can find the current list at http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ashioks-persistent-nightmare/ and you can find out more about Oathbreaker at http://oathbreakermtg.com/
May I suggest a consuming aberration if you want good mill?
@wizardsmagic @markrosewater look I have a bond symbol too!

Good post.
Donald Duck finally gets some goddamn recognition around here.
reblog if you love and respect Donald Duck in your house
I wont respect that asshole until he fuckingnheals me in kingdom hearts damn it!
it amazes me how people still think fiction doesnât affect reality when about 90% of us ran like naruto without a second thought just because we saw him do it and thought it was cool
this is going to be the only valid reply because thatâs the reason I did it
for a more pertinent example- the creators of the original 70s âstar trekâ created wrist communicators for plot purposes so crew on the ground could still communicate with crew on the spaceship because writing sometime in the early 80s a lot of actual scientists realized that sounded really cool and actually doable so lets create cellphones then later people who read âhitchhikers guideâ realized we had 80% of what the hitchhikers guide was and made a kindle Agatha Christie wrote mystery novels so precice she accurately predicted methods of poisoning that had not even happened yet, and her works are still used today to teach people how to diagnose poisonings bot malign and accidental. heck her understanding of toxicology was so on point she proposed antidotes for poisons made from poisons with opposite effects, allowing patients to be stabilized after otherwise fatal doses lets not forget the OG himself HG Welles who pulled stuff out of his ass like submarines, cross-continent flight, space travel, eccetera and later people realized that his fever dreams were something you could actually do with enough math and engineering in the late 40s Frances Glessner Lee started making dollhouses that contained crime scenes, only partially a hobby she was creating fantasy mysteries to puzzle people as there was no specific solution to the crime scenes she created. these dollhouses are still used to train detectives today and are considered to be the birth of modern forensics, solving thousands of crimes hell, someone read the 1911 story â Tom Swift and His Electric Rifleâ, which was largely schlock and realized a gun that shoots electricity sounds pretty awesome so made the TAZER, and the E and R still stand for âelectric rifleâ and thats not counting the uncounted human moments when someone decided to do or not do something based on childhood memories of movies that shaped their personality, decided to do something based on a song that inspired them, got the courage by remembering a well written superhero moment, or some part of their soul that asked what their favorite muppet would think about their actions
nvm this is a valid response just intellectual

McDonald's loses EU trademark battle over the Big Mac. Burger King starts trolling them.
The full story:
There is an Irish restaurant chain called Supermacs that has opnened around 100 stores in Ireland since 1978.Â
Recently, McDonaldâs decided that this small restaurant chain that hasnât even made it out of Ireland needed to be taught a lesson, and sued them on the basis that âSupermacsâ infringes on the âBig Macâ brand name. Which is, of course, absolutely ridiculous.
McDonaldâs ended up losing the case, because of course they did, they didnât have a case to begin with. As a result, McDonaldâs lost the rights to the term âBig Macâ across the entire European Union.
Which is why Burger King gets to do this with no legal repercussions.Â
I was trying to figure out who comes up with scpâs and why theyâre considered dangerous and all of these have left me more confused than the previous one
The IKEA store also is populated by disproportionately shaped âemployeesâ that attempt to kill customers after business hours
Tag yourself I'm scp 1609
Had a funny crossover thought, the Theros Gods and the Ravnica Guilds. All but Kruphix would fit in pretty well with their respective Guilds.
It makes sense, since the color pairs have largely been defined by the Guilds. Itâs a good thing when there is deviation, though, IMO, but also people expect certain things from the pairs now.
I would argue that kruphix would mechanically work well in simic. Simic tends to have krasis that have variable costs, so being able to stockpile mana would allow for very large variable creatures (see hydroid krasis)

@magicalgirlmindcrank you are on ifunny
Okay so as those of you who use PayPal are probably aware, PayPal has this new credit card type thing that theyâre DESPERATE for people to use.
So I was buying something with Paypal and suddenly mid check out i noticed something that said I was signing up for their credit card, like not asking me if I want to buy it, one click away as if I was about to finish a transaction for it. I scrolled down and saw a âcancel transactionâ button, pressed it, and suddenly I was back to my checkout screen. PayPal now has a pop up screen that looks almost identical to their normal checkout screen, which will pop up while youâre mid-transaction and try to trick you into signing up for their credit card. Keep an eye out.
My input for Elspeth week!
So this is a painting Iâve had in my head for a while now, and I figured itâd be good to squeeze out the idea sketch while itâs still Elspeth week haha :PÂ In this painting, Elspeth emerges from the Underworld as a returned, a now Black White Planeswalker, seeking personal justice against the one who had slain her, Heliod :P
Okay but imagine, she goes back to her home plane as a zombie planeswalker and fucking wrecks the phyrexians because they cant compleat her!
It baffles and infuriates me that Hogwarts students donât take Latin or Greek. Accio? Literally âI summon.â Lumos? Fucking âlight.â Expelliarmus? Expel weapon!! Ooooh I wonder what Levicorpus doesâ you Dumb Ass Bastard. You ILLITERATE. Itâs called Levicorpus, it lifts someoneâs body, it LEVIES your goddamn CORPUS-
Hermione ghost wrote this
Counterpoint: Hogwarts actively discourages students from taking Latin or Greek because if they knew either one every single magic twelve year old would be trying to mash up twenty words and make their own Ultimate Spell instead of using the Good Standardized Spells Known Not To Explode Magic SchoolsÂ
I have a feeling that last point is aimed at the ravenclawsâŚ

Un-question. If I have graveyard busybody (making all graveyards my own) and I use elixir of immortality, do I shuffle all graveyards Into my deck?
No, cards always go into their ownerâs library much as cards bounce to their ownerâs hand.
That's too bad. My battle of wits commander deck will never happen
I have no real opinion on the matter but I would like to know your thoughts on what you meant by MtG isn't addressing diversity well
Itâs been three years and the Gatewatch only just got itâs first nonwhite member.
Itâs been three years and there are no explicitly LGBT+ recurring characters.
Itâs been three years and there are no recurring characters with nonidealized body types.
There is no representation, there is representation that is largely relegated to the fringes of an IP, and there is representation that is visible and present in the ongoing state of an IP. Magic has talked a big game, but theyâre still stuck in the second stage. Thereâs a lot of good work being done in card art and a lot of good work setting a foundation for improvement, but Magic as a franchise still has a long way to go.
Ehr, Both Chandra and Gideon are non white. Gideon is what we in real life call âMiddle-easternâ, and Chandra is at least half-Indian (on her mothers side). Sarkhan and Narset are both Central Asian (Sarkhan being Mongol and Narset Tibetan), and Tamiyo despite being non-human is clearly east asian. Samut is Egyptian, Huatli is Mayan, And of course, Teferi is Central African. And we just got another ethnically African planeswalker about a month ago in the form of Aminatou (A.k.a the best planeswalker ever). Kiora, although a merfolk, is clearly Polynesian.
Both Lily and Chandra are at the least Bisexual (Both have shown attraction to both males and females in story). Karn is Asexual and doesnât really have a gender identity, and neither does Ashiok. And since prior to the Tarkir storyline we have had multiple characters in story (and on cards) who have been gay, lesbian, and trans.
Sure WotC still has a way to go, but saying that they donât have representation when they clearly do, including several main characters, is not just wrong but disingenuous.
Without getting into the issues around most of these, the statement was Gatewatch. The âPocahontasâ representation, as itâs been called, doesnât count for much until theyâre actually recurring members of the story. Adding background characters of color isnât quite the same thing as having them represented in the story. And the two you mention are problematic. I think theyâve been making comparably great strides, but thereâs a long way to go and retconning your characters to be POC isnât the way to do it.
Gideon is Mediterranean, which isnât the same thing as Middle Eastern. Heâs a Greek analogue, and itâs taken almost a decade for his artwork to ârealizeâ that. That hardly counts for much, either.
Chandra is gaelic-looking woman from a time when Wizards of the Coast used Indian names on white people or fantasy creatures to make them sound exotic. This was back when WotC talked about Liliana being Middle Eastern until they realized that they gave the Middle Eastern woman a VeilâŚ
Adding in an obviously Indian mother a decade later doesnât change the fact that they dropped the ball from the start, and there was zero indication Chandra was anything but snow white until Kaladesh. I wished they had just owned it, honestly, because Kaladesh is diverse and her parents could have been white Kaladeshi while simultaneously introducing the first actual South Asian representation in Saheeli.
But no. Instead, we get Chandra OâNalaar, who, despite biracial children having a wide array of features, looks more like my very, very white niece and nothing like my half-white/half-indian son or any of my friends or relatives, down to the Âźth or 1/8th Indians. Red hair and freckles are certainly possible for her, in as much as theyâre possible for anyone, but it would be exceedingly rare in such a way that itâs obvious Chandra was never intended to be South Asian representation.
The gatewatch currently consists of Chandra (Half-Indian), Gideon (Middle-eastern), Teferi (African), Jace (central european), and Ajani (whose culture is based on the Inca). That is one white character out of five. One of these characters is canonically Bisexual (Chandra). Calling that a lack of representation is wrong. Yeah, Chandra is depicted as way to pale compared to what she should be, but that is an art issue. In some of the better art, her skin is closer to what it should be. And Gideon is east middeterranian, as in Greek/Turk/Syrian/Libanese, as in non-white.
Greek isnât Middle-Eastern any more than Italian is. Mediterranean is considered âwhiteâ by the US Census.
I just spend three paragraphs describing why âHalf-Indianâ Chandra is problematic as representation. Itâs about the red hair and freckles. A brunette Chandra would be perfectly fine, even though sheâs pale. She also hasnât been canonically confirmed as anything, thatâs why people are so mad about Chandra/Nissa.
A cat is not representation for anyone other than cats, despite the costuming.
The point is, thereâs still a ways to go. If someone could only reasonably called a POC in âsome artâ, thereâs a problem.
I think the problem we have with body representation is due to the fact that the planes we visit are all fantasy. People aren't generally bigger because they are constantly walking around, doing things like fighting, and possibly starving, not sitting at home doing nothing. Sure we could ask to get a main character that is bigger, but between obviously fighting a lot, and whatever armor they wear, that would be super hard to show.
