It's all there ok! Season2 showed me the wonder that could be Mel going "This is my boyfriend Jayce and this is Jayce's soulmate, Viktor. Jayce and I make out and Viktor and I are frienemies for reasons that don't have anything to do with Jayce and more to do with Viktor's opinions of politicians."

Unfortunately Season 2 also absolutely torpedoed my ability to see Viktor being ok with this. Holy shit this look he shoots between Mel and Jayce when she interrupts them. Holy shit Viktor

This is the angriest he looks in his entire actual villain arc. This is the most murderous he looks. He looks like he just found his man cheating and he's going "actually maybe I will straight up kill his ass" (Viktor she interrupted because you were literally choking him out what is wrong with you)

I think it even goes deeper than just sexual jealousy. I think that codependent nerd labeled her a homewrecker when she made Jayce a councilor and in doing so committed the heinous crime of having Jayce do things outside of the lab more. She took Jayce's attention. She took Jayce's mental energy off the work. The dream. Their dream. At that point banging Jayce was just the sprinkles on top.

But then when I go "I don't think there was as much sexual/romantic jealousy" I remember this. Viktor...my guy...

And it's so one sided. It's so one sided he's so petty with it. Mel is so supportive! she's already viewing them as a pair of brilliant minds! She figured out quick that Jayce comes as a package deal!!

She comes in to ask how he's doing and help support Jayce. she says "he'll come back to us" and worries about what the hexcore is doing to him. and Viktor's stupid little cocoon tries to bite her!! yeah it's likely a reaction to her own latent arcane ability but my take is funnier

She never gets in the way of him going back to Viktor, in fact, the day after their first time sleeping together together, she learns Viktor is dying and tries to send Jayce back to him. People who characterize Mel as somehow trying to keep Jayce to herself or trying to get between them purposefully are out of their minds, Mel is never a jealous girlfriend towards Jayce. Her attempts at getting his undivided attention are almost always focused on political matters or things Viktor disagrees about that she needs to persuade Jayce on to get her way like Hextech weapons (which she eventually backs down from when she sees that they'll just escalate the conflict).

Viktor being jealous of her is entirely a him problem, and honestly, it's a bit hilarious given how supportive she is of their dream! It simply would not have happened without her, full stop! But Viktor, the scientist with tunnel vision for anything outside the lab, just doesn't see that they need political help to get their dream going, that they needed funding, that they needed help. He can't fucking stand her and it's literally like a startup co-founder who hates their first investor like, my guy, you need her, can't you at least be a little nice?

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Jackles: He turned tricks to make money when he was younger.

SPN: Dean hates Jack at first but he eventually gets over it 🤷‍♂️

Jackles: At first all Dean saw when he looked at Jack was Lucifer, but now all he sees when he looks at Jack is Cas.

SPN: Cas is in love with Dean and we Just Don't Know how Dean feels 🤗

Jackles: Dean didn't realize Cas can fall in love like humans do. But when Cas confessed, he understood that Cas was in love with him. Also he did not reject Cas. He wasn't making any decisions in that moment, he was too busy grieving the fact that he was losing his best friend, again.

SPN: Dean doesn't reciprocate Cas's love and just moves on.

Jackles: Dean is thinking "I didn't give him anything. I should have said I love you too and hugged him." His greatest regret is not being able to save Cas.

SPN: Dean is At Peace 😌

Jackles: Dean is bored in Heaven and probably gonna find a way to break out for the six-episode limited series reboot I'm definitely just hypothetically talking about.

-Remove the romance as the main feature. This was boring and took away from good story telling.

-Introduced a "hidden world" of night furies. Toothless finally finds his own kind and Hiccup wants him to live with them because this is it. This is what they've been wanting for ages. It seems as though Toothless might, but in the end Toothless knows that found family is just as important and still chooses to be by his best friend's side.

-Grimmel is out to destroy this Hidden World instead of already "told didn't show" that he's killed all night furies and Toothless and the others must stop him. Would have Grimmel come from a village of dragon killers who spoke of a legendary death trap island full of murderous night furies, but in the end when he's defeated, Hiccup and Toothless use the night furies to show that these are amazing creatures and that humans can indeed live in a beautiful world alongside them instead of killing them.

-Give the other riders some actual development points. Same for their dragons.

-The dragons don't leave because teaching people that there's no point in fighting for a better world and instead hide away and hope things get better some day is a shitty message. In the end, Hiccup brings even more people together with dragons and Toothless can finally hang out with his own kind.
