My main concept idea was actually based on "what else can i do" from Encanto.

It looks like Adrien took that harder than she thought he would. At least it’d be easier for her to take the other earring now.

Behind Alya, Tikki looked sick. She’d seen too many Ladybugs die. She’s seen them beaten, bruised and betrayed. And she hoped that this one would be different. That the best Ladybug she’d ever had would be different. She was too busy being wary of the Black Cat to consider the Bee. And now the Fox. Plagg offered little comfort, looking distraught at the sight of his Cat under the Butterfly’s grasp. Made to kill his beloved just because this wannabe reporter decides that she knows what’s best. You don’t upset both Creation and Destruction and get away with it.

And Pollen. Poor Pollen. Her submissiveness has gotten her used over and over again to hurt Tikki’s chosen. Why are her Queens cruel? She’s tired of being used again and again by selfish, egotistical monsters. That’s the word. Monsters. She’d learn her lesson, and maybe Chloe would too.

The screams of parents finding their daughter’s body covered in blood being desecrated filled the night sky. People saw Rena Rouge – the supposed hero – take someone’s earring next to an akuma who stood still, the only sign that it was real being a single stray tear falling down its cheek. A booming voice filled the air; people could hear the voice they hear when they’re too sad. Too angry. And the dread kept building.

“I’m grateful Cesaire. That you did my job for me. Now please, hand over the Miraculous.”

Gabriel couldn’t keep the dangerous smile off his face. He should’ve contacted her instead of Rossi, because unlike the lying brat, she managed to bring results. It was a surprise, yes, but a welcome one at that. But it fell as soon as she started putting the Miraculous on herself.

“Miss Cesaire.”

The akuma immediately switched to a fighting pose, sword ready to strike.

“Please. As if I’d work with a villain like you. I’m going to find out exactly who you are with this wish so we can stop you.”

“At the price of Marinette’s life?”

Odd. Maybe Hawkmoth is someone Marinette knows? Maybe it’s her father! Why else would the akuma sound sad?

“It’ll be fine. Besides, the Miraculous Ladybug can bring her back.”

The akuma was conflicted between attacking and kneeling down into the pool of blood, alongside Marinette’s parents. Was everyone in her family this dramatic?

She had put on both Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculous before she felt a severe headache. Huh. Must be the ultimate power. Granted, she was still wearing the Fox and Bee Miraculous, but it couldn’t be that.

“Tikki, Plagg, unify!”

At this the akuma dropped to its knees. Huh. Must have been a side effect. Really, Marinette had to be glad that she had such a good friend because how else would she know what to do? She wouldn’t even know that doing this would stop akumas if it wasn’t for her!

And Pollen was left alone again. Hovering over Tikki’s chosen. She would’ve been a great Bee. A great Cat. A great Fox. She would have been able to wield any Miraculous successfully. She would experience success in what she aimed for. She would have been great if her life wasn’t cut short. The wish would fix it, yes, but everything would be different. And she felt something she never thought she would. She felt sad. She felt regret. But she never felt anger. Not anymore. Not after seeing Plagg’s chosen break down next to the person he loved the most. The person he was led to. The person he was forced to kill. The person who reached out and caressed his cheek, removing the tear but replacing it with a streak of blood.

“Mon Chatou…”
