Leigh Bardugo somehow did this twice in one book. Jesper has got the most potent "molested and dissociated those memories so he has no conscious idea it happened" energy imaginable but Bardugo wants to convince me Colm is more or less a good dad.
Wylan meanwhile is like. She almost seems to have wanted to suggest he might have been canonically molested with that "sweaty romp with a tutor" rumor, but then that never actually goes anywhere or has any impact on things.
Both of their storylines would have fared much better under my despotic, iron-fisted rule.
Dead Bat Zine Interest Check
A play on "dead dove: do not eat", Dead Bat Zine would be a mature/explicit rated Vampires SMP fanzine. While "dead dove: do not eat" often refers to taking the tags and trigger warnings on a fic (or in this case, any fanwork) seriously, we use it to refer to any explicit tags or content warnings. This means heavy gore, sexual content, and controversial tropes such as incest and non-con.
The intent of this zine is to give people a space to collaborate on and produce NSFW VSMP fancontent in an organized project.
It would be run through Discord and released as free-to-download through Tumblr.
Depending on the interest expressed for this project, moderator applications will start in late May or early June and run for 2 weeks.

God I’m just never over Mafuyu’s inability to conceptualize love as anything other than familial, her love of and love given to her by Niigo always at some point being compared to how her mom makes her feel through the framing of warmth, Kanade especially 1:1 filling roles of Mafuyu’s mother at certain points. And the way that’s caused and certainly bolstered by Mafumom herself overstepping the boundaries of mother/daughter and treating Mafuyu like a friend/confidant/lover, expecting her to never leave her side, and to fill her want for company often in the face of Mafudad’s marriage to the grind taking precedence over all else. I'm the one who asked for Pyro being animalistic a month ago (:
Pyro didn't think of Apo as a friend when they were roommates.
Pyro could only confidently call Truffle a "friend," but no one else in Oakhurst.
Pyro thought very highly of Apo, considering her a little violent due to her military background, but very cool, very beautiful, and very strong. He would dream of being friends with such a beautiful woman. But... hah, who would want to be friends with Jack von Pyroscythe anyway? Ugly, pathetic, obnoxious nerd... Apo probably only lives in the same house with them because everyone else in Oakhurst is even crazier, screaming about vampires, Bigfoot, and other absurd things. So Apo is willing to tolerate Pyro in her space, but no, of course she doesn't want them, doesn't want to be friends with them. And it's best for Pyro this way; monsters like him don't deserve human friends anyway, only pet friends at best.
(Pyro's self-esteem is terrible and his autism doesn't help, to be honest. He calls Truffle his friend immediately when he finds him in the forest, but never calls Apo his friend. I headcanon that it takes Pyro a lot longer than a couple of weeks and at least a few conversations about feelings to believe that someone is seriously interested in being his friend. He doesn't believe that Apo values him and considers him good company, even if it is true.
And here's the thing, they really didn't have time to talk about it, Pyro was turned too early.
In my mind, there is a whole comic about early Applespice where Pyro finds strenght to ask Apo if they are friends, and she is very amused by Pyro's clumsiness and hesitation, but finds it very endearinag and cute. And of course she considers him her friend! And actually even more, oh lol, they kiss in this comic and Pyro is metaphorically dying at the opportunity to kiss such a beautiful, gorgeous woman. This is more than he ever wanted)

Shelby scoots around to sit facing him, and Owen’s eyes stare through her, deep pools of water. They are mirrors, cross-legged.
“You look nice,” Shelby says softly, and something flits across Owen’s face, brief and tender and desperate. He lifts a hand and touches the back of his neck, where the braid sits.
The braid itself is clumsy. Shelby has never been good at those, and she was so nervous about pulling. Even now there are strands escaping.
“You look really nice,” Shelby repeats at a whisper, not for the braid or the gaunt angles of Owen’s face or the soft red clothes he is so careful with, but for the way he doesn’t look at her, the way he visibly wavers over something she can’t see or feel. She’s worried if she speaks any louder, something in him, or between them, will splinter irrevocably.
Owen exhales, very nearly a laugh. “If you say so. I can’t… exactly check.”
It sticks in her throat. She is being trusted with something. Like Pyro, who whispers urgent secrets in her ear when he thinks someone’s listening in. Like Scott, who smiles for her more truthfully than he does anyone else. The familiarity hits her, nauseating. There’s a magnet in her sternum.
“Hey, can I—?”
They lurch up and forward, put their hands on his thighs, and Owen hisses.
Shelby freezes.
Tense, he takes their wrists, guiding them to sit back on their heels. “Shelby.” He’s squeezing a little.
“Sorry,” Shelby says, disappointed and a little stung. Of course. That was pretty impulsive of them. “Sorry.” Owen’s grip stays on their wrists. “I won’t— I won’t touch you, you can let go now.”
Owen lets go of one wrist and brushes his lips over the knuckles of the other hand.
