i just found out people on tiktok and the like are making these things called "gif edits" where instead of using actual show/movie footage for their video edit they're clipping gifs... very strange and personally i would be livid

#gifmakers putting hours in to light and colour and crop and sharpen their stuff and then people just take and reuse them... crazy behaviour #they don't even look good in the edits! in part because they're all coloured differently and the movement is also odd because it's a gif!!#not to mention they're doing numbers in the tens to hundreds of thousands on there #and you already know the original gif probably has a fraction of a fraction of that on here
