Iâm confused about one part of the chart, the middle to late Ming section - first the question is, is the silhouette divided, and if you answer no the next question is how is the silhouette divided? Did we not just say that it wasnât divided? Something here is going over my head.

I cannot believe there's absolutely no way to watch free shows and movies anymore, there are too many paid streaming platforms and pirating websites have viruses and ads preventing you from watching it uninterrupted((.)) id rather follow the rules and purchase media moving forward because it is too inconvenient. Seriously, free and no ads or viruses with 1080p streaming is DEAD.
Exactly! It's freaking annoying when I want to watch movies but I would have to subscribe to like 24 different services . Just to watch the shows that I like.
Oh and wouldnât it be nice for cartoons? Just anything animated. I just wanna stream things without getting conned. Must I be cartoonless forever?
i like using streaming apps but there are waaaay too many and they're all stealing my data .i wish there was a secure and organized way to have millions of shows and movies available one one app. but alas. we've truly gone full circle back to cable + now it spies on you. its a real shame. i dont want to fill my device storage with tons of boring and stupid cash grabs.

Jake Long/American Dragon was a very interesting show, it deserved 3 seasons. Sadly it didn't fullfil it's fullest potential.
The world building needs a little fix.
Hunters should be energy vampires. They shouldn't have a dragon mark, it should be an X bc they are anti-magic, not anti-dragon. You can be a Hunter BC of biology or by turning into one which includes killing a magical being with a dark ritual.
A young born hunter's Mark would be light, they don't have abilities yet and at 15/16 years old they have a choice to make, kill a magical creature and become one with the clan or refuse and become a magical creature, their mark shifting into what they are now and becoming prey to their family.
The origin of the hunters and the dark dragon should be connected.
Dragons should be guardians BC their strength, speed and reflexes are the best to deal with hunters, the hunters can eat fireball BC again, energy vampires. This justifies WHY the hunters have been a threat for so long
Dragon's main magic should be elemental (water, fire, earth, wood, metal), they have affinity to one or two elements usually.
Make witches an umbrella term with different subcategories or straight up say that witches is a foolish non-magical term bc they can't keep up with all the types of nymphs and fae
USE ROSE'S TWIN THAT WAS SUCH A MISSED OPPORTUNITY. IMAGINE THE HUNSTMAN MARRIED ROSE'S MOM WITHOUT KNOWING SHE'S A MERMAID AND THEN THEY FIGURE EACH OTHER OUT, TRY TO KILL THE OTHER, ESCAPE AND EACH ONE KEEPS A TWIN

I remember in my medieval philosophy class my professor once mentioned that silent reading wasnât always the norm and that rather people would read outlouad typically. One of the most well known examples of this is in Augustineâs Confessions where he remarks that he was astonished at how Ambrose of Milan would read books silently and without moving his lips or mouth at all. It wasnât that people didnt have the ability to read silently like people would be aware if a situation called for them to read the contents quietly such as a politician or general recieving a letter with sensitive information. The point rather is that in those cases the person would intentionally will themselves to read quietly and if you were going to sit down and read a book or scroll the default was that you would read it out loud so someone that read silently as their norm would be seen as âoddâ. And by âoddâ I dont mean that people thought they were a freak or stupid just that it was a strange quirk.Â
As a matter of fact reading silently mightâve been seen as a sign that someone was an incredibly heavy reader such as with Ambrose. The reason being that one of the reasons vocalized reading was the norm had to do with how people wrote texts like it was pretty common for there to be irregularities with the script or especially that it was highly common for writings tonothavespacesinbetweenwordssoreadingoutloudfeltlikeamorenaturalasawaytomakeouttheindividualwords. An incredibly âveteranâ reader like Ambrose (Augustine also mentions Ambrose could read quickly) might develop mental shortcuts letting them more easily pick part the individual words that had been squished together and in doing so simply gradually drop the habit of reading out loud because it wasnt an aid to them any longer. In Latin Europe this changed when Irish monks in the late 7th century developed the practice of writing with more uniform letters as well as separating different words by leaving blank spaces between them. This slowly spread to the rest of Latin Europe (at least with the monastaries) until it finally became the norm in the 12th century, just in time for the explosive importation of scientific and philosophical literature from the Arabic world which was nice.
Anyway back to before that happened, something my professor said that was pretty interesting was that that if you stepped into a medieval library before this change ocurred is that youd be struct by how much talking was seeming to go on the monks read to themselves. That combined with the fact that the expensive nature of books often meant might could be attached to chains meant that a medieval library would be have a continuous din of murmuring and rattling metal which is interesting imagery for a library.
