many hate to hear it because they want the post-voyager voyager crew to be just like in the cute fluffy fanfic they’ve imagined in their minds where janeway gets married to either chakotay or seven and everyone goes to therapy and lives happily ever after but i actually think the glimpses that mainline trek has given us of the former voyager crew being emotionally unstable wrecks forever and ever is not only much more interesting but much more true to the emotional fallout of everything they went through
