Miraculous Awakening missed the point of the battles in the show:
First, the Akumas entering a material possession of the soon-to-be-villainized gave them a weakpoint that Ladybug and Chat had to figure out how to get to. It wasn't just "hit them 'til they throw up the bad butterflies" but an exercise in strategy.
Second, the lack of the Lucky Charm was weird since it's not like an instant win button so much as the universe gives Ladybug something that they can plan around, something that's not apparent in the moment. It was part of what made a lot of the victories work, especially when there was a margin for error.
Third, the one power usage added to this since it meant that Ladybug and Chat can't just make or destroy anything to win so much as time their attacks properly. Furthermore, their transformation countdown makes for tension in battles since if they run the clock, Hawk Moth wins. I feel the movie could've at least ended on the two unlocking their full power usage to give them that learning curve.
