In the Silver Age he was so good at drag that he'd have to be reminded to break character once he was no longer in front of an audience. In the Modern Age his parents worried that he was "too sensitive", that there was something wrong with him, and he was sent to a strict boys boarding school for reasons he didn't understand where he was violently bullied and harrassed for being "quiet and not very athletic", and he had an encyclopedic knowledge of women's fashion before he even studied to be a detective. As much as I support any and all trans headcanons I do feel like in the discussion of those wrt Dick it's pertinent to point out that every time he's been dressed femininely he expressed discomfort with it and wanted to be out of those clothes as quickly as possible. He's also been generally uncomfortable with people referring to him as feminine in any way, though he's aware that people perceive some of his features as feminine or androgynous sometimes.

conversely i think grace would avoid mentioning organ donation to spare rocky's feelings but when rocky finds out about it, he is deeply moved. the idea of giving up your vital organs to save another person's life is so deeply selfless that his previous conceptions of the human race as slightly conceited individualistic warmongers is turned on its head because of the simple fact that people are willing to have their bodies run less effectively just so that someone who needs a kidney can have one. sure humans are inefficient but it cant be said that they arent capable of incredible acts of kindness

I feel like people who are dismissive of sports don’t realize that they’re sometimes super condescending. like, okay, you didn’t like gym class and have personal grudges against the jocks from your high school! that doesn’t mean that other people are idiots for enjoying something that, when it’s at its best, can connect you to a broader community of fans and give you a chance to appreciate the athleticism that people are capable of when they spend years honing a specific set of skills. there’s something so valuable and human about sports that gets lost when you reduce it to “sportsball” or whatever
