the writers are trying to tell us something. and the something seems to be "most of the news are a narrative pushed by an entity or person that benefits from your feelings."

kind of meta of a show that lives in that ecosystem and relies on the same pr techniques as everyone else.

But he has also been shown twice to help people who have been cheated on to see their worth and, even though his coworkers made jokes that he's "great with dicks" aka a slut, he told Kanit he's sensitive in response to Kanit stating Toto didn't know anything about love, and he told his friend at the restaurant that Kanit "would not see his insides," so he was probably cheated on too in a previous relationship by "his type," which caused him a lot of pain.

And that's probably why he will give Lion a second chance and won't immediately tell Kanit that he found evidence Lion is cheating. If Toto was cheated on, he probably would've still stayed with the person IF they had chosen him in the end because it's not about the cheating for him, but about still not be chosen by the person he loves even when given the choice to pick him.

So all he really wants is for someone to pick him (choose him! love him!).

But he could've never been cheated on, and could just be a real cool guy looking for love without any painful backstory involved.

Our beautiful Rescue Team boys are all actors with darker skin (as far as the Thai entertainment industry is concerned). Tay, Mond, Tui, even newbie Juno. Meanwhile, Newwie and Ryu are some of the most porcelain looking dolls at gmmtv, and they’re getting called “tofu face” and “polar bear” here. (yes, I know the Polcasan reference but words can do double duty.)

They might just be typecasting based on stereotypes, but Jojo’s demonstrated a lot of interest in this issue in the past, and his Only Friends cowriter Den just brought it up in an interview, so I’m staying attentive.

Who is gonna talk about their choice to put Barth right at the bottom of the stairs to heaven, and Tanrak amongst demons, threatening to corrupt everyone on the right path with their sinful ways? Even though it is Tanrak who is, from a catholic standpoint, fifty steps closer to god than Barth and Barth the one with the seemingly corrupting influences that’ll push Tanrak to sin and lose his faith?

Not to speak of the school crest and statue of mary on Tanraks side of the shot and the open door and the clock on Barths. There is also the reflection of light and the windows visible right there, while Tanraks side is gloomy and dark except for that one speck of light on mary.

It’s a very, very deliciously arranged shot and it makes clear where they want us to position ourselves, as if that’s not a given. Cause they make it pretty clear that Barth is on the right side. That Barth is closer to true revelation, to a way out, to light, to happiness, that it’s only a matter of time until he’ll leave all of this behind and it will be the right choice, that his decision to reject catholic dogma is the way to salvation, while Tanrak is still caught in literal hell between the influences of the school and his desire to see his parents again.
