There’s a full tidal wave of BL dramas right now, and we’re not even in the second half of June yet - which has another six or seven premieres lined up. It’s wild to think that when I first got into Asian BL about twenty years ago, the best you could hope for was a side gay couple who existed either for comic relief or to be tragically sacrificed. It was always the “bury your gays” era: illness, injury, death — anything except a happy ending.
