Finally got round to drawing a scene from my first Daggerheart session. While on a train heading anywhere that wasn’t the city she grew up in, Puck soon found herself in the middle of a pack of bandits that took over the train in the hopes of stealing the Emancia crystals it was hauling (as well as terrifying the passangers aboard). Initially wanting to keep a low profile, Puck soon abandoned that idea to come to the aid of the passages and fight these bad guys. Along with the help of her new clank friend, Krannix (not pictured as he was blasted out of the train and started taking down the bandits on the outside), Puck managed to take down two of the goons inside the train. With not a scratch on her, a beaming smile, a jaunty skip and the blood of his men still on her rapier, Puck managed to successfully intimidate the leader of this gang. ‘Leave this train now, you’ve seen what I’ve done. Imagine what else I could do’

The men left and the passengers on the train came out of hiding to cheer and applaud Puck, some even giving a few coin. Puck was accustomed to this kind of attention being a jester, but this time it was different, she wasn’t trying to put on a performance or tell a joke, this was genuine. And just like that, she went from court jester to peoples hero. She could get used to this.

For as long as she can remember, Irvine has been a soldier, she’s strong, brave, knows how to fight and is good at it. She fought in many battles and came out as victor until one fateful day, she finally fell. As she lay dying in the blood and mud of the battlefield, she saw the figure of an ethereal woman standing over her, possibly the most beautiful woman she’d ever seen. Not a bad way to go she thought. The woman caressed her face and a sense of calm washed over Irvine before sharp, icy pain exploded in her neck as the woman bit into her. She would look back on this as the day she was saved and cursed by this woman.

Time went on and she stayed by the woman’s side as her love, her right hand woman, her attack dog. It wasn’t the healthiest of relationships and was constantly strained by the power this woman had over Irvine. Until one day she finally broke away and breathed a breath of freedom. It was then she met Marie, a kind, sweet, strong woman who showed her what love should really look like, and she was saved a second on time.
