💜 What Kind of Partner is He?

Gentle is the word the comes to mind. The way that he holds you; the way he whispers "I missed you" after a long shift dealing with the Wild Hunt; the way he holds your hand while walking around The graveyard; right down to the sweet kisses he pesters you with when your finally alone together is the definition of gentle.

💜 How did you two meet?

Working as a lightkeeper means knowing that you may die at any moment from the Wildhunt.

This also means that you'll have other lightkeepers with you who equally want to stay alive while fighting the Wildhunt.

You met Flins during one such night, when the Wildhunt attacked close to the Fatui research center. He moved faster than any lightkeeper you had ever seen, taking down every ghoul in sight while you covered the ones that slipped by. Things were going okay, until the Fatui camp decided to 'help' by firing new weapons they were constructing into the array.

You protected Flins while the two of you were being fired at by two fronts, until reinforcements arrived to handle the rest of the hunt.

Flins made it apart of his routine to check in with you a few days after the event to ensure you were recovering, apologizing for not being prepared for such an event. He was just happy there were no casualties.

These little visits became more and more frequent, leading to him eventually asking you out to dinner to 'Make up for' you getting hurt defending him.

In reality, some of the spirits at the graveyard told him to use it as an excuse to take you out to dinner.

💜 The fae are tricksters, it's in their nature to prank the ones they love and any random joe they happen upon in their domains. So, expect many pranks to be pulled in this relationship.

Some are cute and harmless, others are straight out of horror movies.

He'll tone it down over time if you ask him to, but the pranks will not go away permanently.

At times he would offer you a deal if you wished to see something of his, like his stone collection, by telling you to just come to his home. He may or may not keep you there for the night, because he never technically said when you could leave.

He just wants to spend more time with you, that's all. Besides, he does have a nice rock collection.

"You really should br more careful with your words, love...not all the Fae are as benevolent as I."

💜 Personal headcanon:

So, I like reading old mythology stuff about the fae, and some stories tell of Fae taking humans as their spouses.

I forget who already said this, but what if Flins had the ability to bind his spouse to him? Like, fae magic allows his spouse to live as long as he will, so they won't have to be torn apart after death.

It's something the Fae only do once once they know for certain, "Yup, this is who I'll spend eternity with."

It's not jewlery or some enchanted item, it's literally a small, purple mark on your wrist, he has the same one. To flins, it's like a wedding ring. He traces it subconsciously when he's stressed or waiting for the Wild Hunt, a reminder you're waiting for him back home and he needs to be careful. He doesn't want to make you worry.

Of course, he understands you might want to have a proper wedding and a traditional ring. He will make arrangements accordingly, just no silver. It makes him break out in hives.

💜 Little Habits.

Flins collects shiny rocks and coins, so I like to believe he will randomly show you his latest finds when he's out working or when he returns from Nasha Town. Sometime he finds them and brings them to you as presents. He has a special box with little pillows for each of his stones, they are organized by colour in a nice little rainbow. Once one box is full, he buys a new one.

He gets excited about it, walking up to you and holding an ancient coin or a piece of quartz he thought you might like.

This isn't a privilege just anyone has, Flins doesn't always share his little treasures, so the fact he will so willingly hand them over is an incredible feat.

Occasionally, he'll turn the gems into jewelry. He gifts you necklaces and rings, but hides the fact he has a matching pair he wears underneath his bulky uniform. It makes him feel connected to you while he's fighting the wild hunt, a reminder he has another reason to go home while being hunted by the abyss every night.

💜 Little Habit, Cont.

Flins likes to call you his spouse, and does so often. Every single person and bird in Nodkrai knows you are his spouse.

Sometimes he forgets you two aren't even married yet, because to him yall already are.

"My apologies, we should rectify this error soon before it leads to confusion."

💜 What's Life with him Like?

Peaceful and strange, but that can be expected living in a graveyard.

Flins is a gentleman, who spends every moment he can by your side. He likes to spook you by appearing randomly and wrapping his arms around you before you notice him.

Flins likes to bring you little rocks that he thought you would like, along with other flowers or trinkets he finds while he is working.

Be careful with your phrasing, as a fae he will find loop holes to mess you. Oh, you want to come inside his home for a visit?

You never specified how long, looks like your staying for a few days to rest and cuddle!

Flins will speak Fae randomly throughout the day, as he is comfortable enough in your relationship to share that part of himself with you. Good morning greetings, words of affirmation, or when he wants to say something he knows you can't understand. He likes to watch you rack your brain as you attempt to figure out what he is saying.

At night, when the moon is full and the graveyard is bright, Flins likes to dance with you. Hand in hand swaying to a song only the two of you can hear, while the moonlight illuminates your own little ballroom.

💜 Who Fell First? Who Fell Harder?

You fell first, he fell harder.

It's hard not to be drawn in by his mysterious vibes, and even harder to pull away from the sweet goofball underneath that oversized coat.

His jokes, his little habit of excitedly showing you shiny stones he's found while out on patrol, all of it is enough to make you fall for him all over again.

Flins on the other hand fell HARD. For him, he understood he loved you pretty early on and wanted to begin a relationship in the best way he knew how.

Asking the graveyard spirits for assistance. :)

He took their advice an began attempting to court you. Presents, dinner dates, and long walks as they coached him how to.

It Takes awhile to properly tell you he loves you, and even then the spirits beat him to it. The ghosts would watch your midnight walks, attempting to cheer him on without realizing you could hear them.

Eventually he does make his feeling clear...in the Fae language.

He's just flustered, that's all. Especially after one spirit excitedly yelled, "Oh my God, just kiss them already!!!"

💜 How Clingy is He?

Fairly clingy, but doesn't show it often.

He tends to cling onto you in the mornings, trying to keep you in bed for a few more minutes before the two of you head off to work. He spends days on end fighting the Wildhunt, so he wants to hold onto the little moments between the two of you that he can.

Occasionally, when the other Ratniki can convince him to go out drinking when the shifts switch, Flins brings you along. He does like to spend time with the other Ratniki, but he finds talking with people easier when you're around.

That, and he can pretend he got really drunk and lean on you until you drag him back to your room. He knows you know he's faking it, neither of you really care.

All he wants is to cuddle with you, but at the same time he also wants to play little tricks.

💜 Nicknames! Does He have any for you?

He does indeed have pet names for you, but you can only understand a few of them. He calls you 'Love' 'Dearest' and other old fashioned names, but sprinkles in some terms of endearment from the Fae language. He sits and watches with a smile as you try to translate what he called you. Another personal favorite of his is 'Moonlight'

On the other hand, he'll let you call him anything. He might not understand why you call him a "Silly Billy Hillichurl," but you look adorable when you say it, so he let's it be.

💜 Bad Habits

He has, on more than one occasion, retreated into the lamp when he doesn't want to talk or is angry about something. A little time to yourself is okay when your mad, it gives you a chance to collect your thoughts and approach an argument with a level head.

It's not normal when you do it for days on end.

He hasn't been close with someone like this for centuries, so it's hard to readjust. Eventually, it gets easier to let him sit in there and wait, he has to leave eventually.

As your relationship progresses, he starts leaving the lantern after a few hours, sometimes he doesn't even hide in there at all! It's still hard to open up, but he's working on it!

It started after he found out that you do the same with the Teapot after arguments. He emerged from his respite to find the lighthouse empty, save for the glowing teapot on the kitchen table. He is locked out and finally understands how bad you must have felt left alone like this after an argument

When you emerge from the Teapot, he has a-now cold-dinner ready for the two of you. He's finished his work and wants to talk this out like adults. You both feel horrible, and neither of you can even remember what the argument was even about.

You end up showing him around the Teapot, dinner can be reheated while you give him a tour of the space.

This is a habit of his that will break with time, and thankfully, you two have all the time in the world.

💜 How Does He Feel About Pets?

He's alright with animals, likes them a lot actually. They are cute, fluffy, and are fascinating to observe.

Now if only animals felt the same way about Flins. Lauma wasn't kidding when she said the animals were wary of Flins. He kinda gets it, but it still hurts. He just wants to pet the dog, why does it keep running away from him?

Now, the two of you do eventually find the perfect pet. A sweet little puppy with a black spot on his left eye. His name is Bagel, since he sneaks and eats Bagels when you two are distracted.

He's a precious puppy, who sometimes licks walls, but has a heart of gold. He helps comfort the spirits of the graveyard, and spends his time following you two during midnight walks. Bagel has even taken to collecting shiny rocks the way Flins does, so Flins gets him a special box to put Bagels own shiny treasures in.

Eventually time will come for us all and Bagel does pass away from old age, but he doesn't leave. Now he is a ghost dog who still does his normal routine of waking you two up early for pets, playing with the spirits in the graveyard, and waiting patiently for you two to return home for cuddles and dinner. Even in death, he will always be a good boy.

💜 How Good Is He With Kids?

Girl dad energy. 100%

In all seriousness, Flins is pretty good with kids. He gives off a frightening aura as a lightkeeper, but Flins is actually really popular with the kids around Nasha Town. They know lightkeepers protect them, and if Flins is scary, he'll be able to scare away the Wild Hunt...right? Their kid logic is pretty accurate, because Flins has kept them safe for centuries now.

Not to mention, we know he gets along well with Aino. He brings her toys and treats when she's supposed to be teaching him and the other lightkeepers mechanical skills. He plays with her and helps watch her when Ineffa is busy.

But he's also an enabler, as we have see when Ineffa told him not to bring sweets or toys for Aino when she should be working...so he brought a pet for to play with instead. It's not a sweet, or a toy.

"As I said, be careful with your phrasing."

I don't think he wants a large family, 3 kids at most. Flins worries he won't be able to give a bunch of children the attention they need, so he would prefer if when he does get to have a family it be a small one.

He'd teach them to take care of the graveyard, ensuring they know how to help souls buried there will be properly laid to rest. Flins would also put runes and barriers around the graveyard, another precaution to keep you and the children safe from the Wildhunt, should he be too far away to protect you all himself.

In summary I do think Flins wants to be a father, he's just worried he won't be able to make enough time for his children as a lightkeeper.

Maybe he should push harder for headquarters to finally send more units to Nasha Town after all.

💜 Date Night

Dates night consists of long walk along the beach and midnight picnics amongst the gravestones.

All in all, not that bad actually.

The beach and the graveyard are both quiet, there's not many people walking about that late other than the occasional lightkeeper; so they are wonderful spots to go for quite and peaceful dates. He enjoys laying back and watching the stars with you, talking about nothing and listening to the sounds of the night.

He has flowers prepared for you, along with snacks he thought you would like, ( he asked Aino and Ineffa to help prepare them) so the two of you can stay up and explore Nodkrai at night.

Of course, Flins will usher you back to saftey if the Wildhunt were to appear, but you can't help but notice that he seems a bit faster and a little more violent in his work when the Wildhunt interrupts your date.

He returns with a small smile, double checking that you're safe, and brings you into the lighthouse so you won't have to walk back to town so late in the evening.

💜 Visions

If you have a vision, he trusts that you will be able to protect yourself during most Wildhunt attacks, but that doesn't mean that he isn't hovering over you the entire time just in case.

If you do not have a vision, he will ensure you are always by his side during Wildhunt attacks. He wants to ensure your saftey. If he can, he will drop you off somewhere safe and then fight the Wildhunt, but sometimes that isn't an option. So, stay close when the fog rolls in.

💜 What's His Opinion on Marriage?

To Flins the two of you are already married.

As I mentioned earlier, Flins has the ability to make you immortal by binding you to him. He can ensure you will live as long as he will so the two of you will not be torn apart. It's as intimate a gesture to the Fae as a wedding is to humans, so for him, you two have been married for years now.

If you say you want a wedding, he'll hop to it immediately. He asks Lauma and Nefer for assistance, wanting to make it perfect. Aino gets excited and runs around saying she's the flower girl, before getting the bright idea to build a robot to do it instead 'just because she can.'

Jahoda helps run supplies to the graveyard, making extra stops along the way, while Nefer and Lauma help you two with the finer details. The FrostMoon Scions help prepare the food, while Nefer tries to find an officiant on such short notice.

Strangely enough, one of the dear guests of the graveyard was an officiant when he was alive.

The wedding is eerie, but beautiful. Spirits and other lightkeepers make up the attendants as the special occasion is illuminated by the cool moonlight shining down from above.

Aino couldn't finish her robot, but she did find lots of wildflowers to throw, with Laumas help. Jahoda was a little late, but she made it in time for the kiss.

If you agreed to become immortal, he will ensure you will want for nothing Flins promises to spend everyday for the rest of your lives making you happy. You'll live lifetimes together watching the world go by, protecting Nodkrai alongside old friends and the new ones you'll eventually meet.

"In this realm of shadows, you alone are my light."

If you chose to remain mortal, he will cherish every second he has with you, and every moment he will spend with your spirit once you have passed. Your grave is well kept, covered with fresh flowers every week. He'll take walks down the road, and spend the nights with your spirit, dancing beneath the moonlight that illuminated your wedding again and again.

He know this is what you wanted, to live a life the way other humans do and eventually pass on, but he fights back the tears knowing he will never again hold you the way he once could. A spirit has no body to hold, but at least he can still hear your voice again before he let's himself lay down and sleep before the dawn sends you away once more.

He's got a fairly low sex drive, but there is no stopping him when he is in the mood. He'll try to hide it, he really tries, but he isn't good at it.

Flins will come home from long shifts, 2 or 3 week long shifts, and wrap his arms around your waist and bury his head into your shoulder. He'll whisper, "I missed you" while trailing kisses down your neck.

He'll wait for you to initiate from there, he doesn't want to force you into anything just because he's Feeling needy.

He's quiet, Flins prefers to listen to your gasps and moans rather than his own. The most you'll normally get is grunts, but he's pretty vocal after a few rounds. You can really get him going when you ride him, he just can't control himself watching you use him for your own pleasure, it's a sight he never gets tired of.

Praise kink, giving and receiving. He loves hearing you tell him how hes making you feel good, but he also loves to listen to you whine when he praises you for taking him so well.

When he gets really into it, he'll start speaking in the Fae language, mixing up English and Fae without meaning to while he praises you.

He can't do anything degrading, he's tried. The only time he did was when you asked him to and he stopped halfway through. It just wasn't fun for him to call you degrading names, but he's open to trying some other stuff.
