In my absence, Eman's village's situation has been getting worse, far far worse. As the fabric of Sudan's medical and other social infrastructures have been destroyed by war and genocide, displaced people are seeing a high risk of disease outbreaks amongst them. This is what Eman's village is currently going through, and her family has been one of many affected by dengue fever.

Eman is scared, alone, and feels like her family's situation is invisible. Please show her that she isn't alone, and that her and her family and her village aren't invisible. Please if you can spare anything, help Eman out.

My roommate and I have until the 14th to scrape together enough money for a place to stay until we can start work in mid-August. My mom is directly responsible for this and there was nothing we could have done to avoid it. We have no family and no friends who are able to take us in or help us. Ríhanna Kelver, a bartender and trans rights advocate in Laramie, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent after a 13 September 2025 confrontation outside the Crowbar & Grill, whereshe worked. Kelver could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison if convicted on both charges.

Recent prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions, including cold temperatures, has significantly deteriorated my health, confirming prior concerns. I now require supplemental oxygen to alleviate respiratory distress during periods of agitation, as I experience severe air hunger and episodes of breathlessness. Although discharge is imminent, it is imperative to secure accommodation in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity levels. Additionally, substantial ongoing care is required.

I am writing these words with a completely broken heart.

My wife is four months pregnant and suffering from severe malnutrition and a critical lack of medical treatment.

Every day she becomes weaker, and she often loses consciousness because of hunger, exhaustion, and the lack of medicine. I live in constant fear every moment… terrified of losing her and our unborn baby.

We also have a small child who cries constantly when he sees his mother weak and suffering, and I stand helpless, unable to protect her or provide what she needs.

The war destroyed our home and left me unemployed with no source of income. I already lost my mother and my older brother because of the war, and now all I have left is my small family. I am terrified of losing them too.

My wife’s treatment costs around €850 every week, in addition to the food and nutrition she urgently needs during pregnancy, and I am completely unable to afford it. We are living through unbearable days of hunger, fear, and helplessness, and I feel like I am watching my wife slowly fade away in front of me.
