What happened in Berlin was so scary to me. It rlly showed how far the right wing is willing to go.

People of color and ppl who aren't ethnically German(like me, I'm half turkish and half Kurdish) are scared to go outside.

Right wing nationalists in Germany (aka n@zis)and covid deniers went to on a protest without masks and all the safety rules and, then decided to spread anti semitism, propaganda et cetera. After that they stormed the German parliament with n@zi flags and symbols.

I've seen tweets of poc and ppl who aren't ethnically German(like me), being scared to go outside. There's lots of footage especially on twitter please educate yourself on this and spread the message.

Nationalism is on rise again.

Also- the "Hanau shooting" happened in February and our Memorial "demonstration" got canceled.

The Hanau shooting was the killing of bout 10 ppl. The shooter was a n@zi and killed them simply bc they weren't German. He then killed his own mother and committed suicide afterwards.

i went to england to visit the family of this boy im dating in birmingham. one of his sisters lived in manchester and his whole family kept being like we wish lila was her you would love her blah blah blah lila would just lobe you blah and I was finally like well why couldn’t she make it? everyone was like lol as we said she’s in manchester??? that’s it. i looked up the distance and it’s like less than two hours away and when me and my dude went to grab a beer later that night I was like so does Lila not get along with your parents like what’s up? again, he’s like babe I told you she’s in manchester. I was like are the villages at war????? he goes “it’s too far. this isn’t holiday.” I was like babe we’ve drivin 4-5 hours for weekend trips to the beach Im just confused- and he cuts me off and goes “that’s American me. You can really tell who’s never experienced poverty and food insecurity when it comes to discussions around food costs and how unhealthy food is cheaper. Some fucker always comes in with the price of like… lettuce or… apples. And it’s like yeah bitch but can you work an 11 hour shift after eating some salad and an apple!?! Find me something cheaper, and more filling than the broke ass staples of boxed mac and cheese, hot dogs, noodles, bread, beans, and rice. I’ll wait.

It also ignores the mental toll that poverty takes like maybe your home made veggie filled recipe isn’t crazy expensive but it also involves prep time and cooking time and organization in terms of fresh food that a lotta poor people can’t manage.

Not to mention if you can only afford to get to the store once every couple weeks via bus or cab then you can’t keep fresh veg on deck.

But ya know.. poor people are just dumb and lazy.
