Plus, yeah, I know there’s been some great stuff that’s come out this year — such as K-pop Demon Hunters, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, etc.

But at least for right now, not much all that new, groundbreaking or exciting is really happening. If I’m gonna be honest, my current social media feed is SO LAME — “lame” as in just underwhelming and disappointing to me, as there’s nothing uploaded recently that actually brings anything new to the table. I’m only either seeing the same old stuff that I feel like I’ve already heard a hundred times before, or news/info that’s only really trivial and generally doesn’t affect my life in the long run. Like, seriously, it’s gotten to the point where I would rather spend my free time reading a good book, I’m not even kidding (and I unfortunately don’t have that many novels to read at home, mind you).

But hey, I’m hoping that as we wait for longer, we can live to see brighter days. Eventually, in a few years, decades, or maybe even a century, we may actually experience the cyberpunk or frutiger aero future that we always dreamed of, or perhaps something completely unexpected, who knows. But all we have to know is that our species as humans are always getting smarter by every new generation and advancement we make, and that we should continue learning for the sake of helping not only ourselves, but also for the entire world we thrive on. And yes, it’s hard to maintain a fulfilling life in a world that (alas, in our timeline) happens to be centered around hate. But we can never predict how good or bad our reality is going to get throughout the time we spend existing, but all that matters is that we continue to exist for as long as we can — after all, we may not experience this view of it all ever again once we greet death.

I've created a primary post for my new favorite WLW ship. Two diametrically opposed comic strip characters (a pin-up girl from 60s Hungary and an American working woman of the 70s/80s) who look so gosh darn cute together. I had never really given much thought to Cathy other than that I knew it used to run in newspapers and was considered something of a target; Jucika I barely knew anything about either aside from the obvious porn.

Yet I've fallen in love with this ship. The artwork from both @vintdooforreal and @bluerm is just so good in different ways. A perpetually-stressed out woman like Cathy deserves a woman who loves her back and helps her (and not the useless, annoying men she was forever dating or even married to). Jucika meanwhile gets a woman who loves her for who she is and not just because she's stunningly attractive.

I have now finished and posted Sketchpad -- a fic detailing how the two meet and change each others' lives for the better.
