Hello everyone! I feel this is a learning opportunity. Remember that @/staff and @/tumblr do exist, however if something is wrong with your blog you will not get it from their blogs from what I assume anyways. You will get it on your email and such

PSA because the amount of hate I’ve been seeing in some of my mutuals’ ask boxes is getting seriously out of hand:
People are allowed to talk about their own individual experiences on their personal Tumblr blogs. That does not mean they’re ignoring every other horrible thing going on in this hellscape of a world.
No one on here owes anyone an in-depth explanation of every possible implication of what they say, but they clearly explained themselves anyway. Actively choosing to misunderstand someone after they’ve clarified their point, and then repeatedly harassing them through their asks, seems rather contradictory to the kind of compassion and advocacy these haters supposedly stand for.
And regarding sexuality on Tumblr: blogging about sensuality and eroticism does not contradict having a beautiful heart or having morals. Consuming or sharing erotic content is also not automatically equivalent to condoning sexual exploitation or abuse. Those are very different things, and collapsing them into one doesn’t make your argument any stronger.
People are multifaceted. Hell, most of us are walking contradictions and beautiful paradoxes. You can care deeply about victims, have a sexuality, enjoy eroticism, and still hold strong moral convictions.
You do not know a person’s heart or their morals based on the things they choose to explore or express on their blog. Judging someone so coldly and scattering hate throughout your little corner of the world will not bring you any closer to getting your point across. If anything, it makes people stop listening.

The fact that some of you guys on here are dedicated enough to make more than one blog with the same fucking bio, photo, or essence is insane to me. Then you go out of your way to message me and harass me because I blocked your main account.

A PSA to everyone to check for lumps under their armpits, breasts, groin area and neck/collarbone. A huge red flag is if the lump is just above the collarbone, it is unusual for a swollen lymph node to be there.
If the lump is hard, immovable and does not hurt when you press it, go to the GP straight away. If the lump is soft, squishy and moves, wait to see if it goes down in 2-4 weeks, if not, go see a GP. If it is growing, go to a GP.
Some cancers also do not show up on blood tests, routine and specialised. Please do push for further testing if the lump/s raise any red flags but you have not been given any tests past bloods or an x-ray.

So, just right now, I and other users got tagged under a post by an account pretending to be Tumblr staff. I thought it was weird because Tumblr would contact me directly. I searched online for answers—it confirmed my suspicions of it being a scam. However, there are of course some people who will fall for it. I do NOT blame them. They probably just want to stay connected with the community, so they would comply without question.
How the Scam Works:
An account posing as Tumblr staff is set up, a post with a professional-looking poster with AI assistance is made, and comments with instructions on how to “confirm your account” are made, and you will be tagged along with others. Once you hover or click on the link to follow the steps, you will briefly see that they used a URL shortener. In this case, it was Ln.run. See the bottom-left corner of the image below.
The URL leads you to a fake Tumblr site. I think it is trying to pose as a subdomain, but if I remember correctly, the chosen name goes BEFORE “tumblr.com.” In this case, however...

If something feels wrong, it probably is. Please second-guess things if you are being asked to share sensitive information. Do NOT enter your bank information. This is PHISHING.
