The question is: What does audio roleplay offer you, that other fictional mediums like movies, books, and videogames don't?

For me it makes me immediately feel like I’m actively consuming the media. It’s really hard or simply impossible in other mediums for a story to be told from the perspective of the audience as a character, it feels like I’m actively participating (even tho I’m not), this is also why I like video games a lot.

And to get REALLY philosophical and shit, we live in a world where it really feels like nothing we do matters and that we are just one person. But in video games and ARP’s the character we play make decisions that noticeably affect the world, so it’s nice to be in the shoes of someone who has an effect on “the story”. Also audio is a massive part in the human physiology.

Is being dizzy and nauseous a bad sign after taking a nasty fall to the back of ur head.

And say in this hypothetical, a couple hours later after most of the dizziness and nausea has gone away you start hearing breathing in ur ear that’s not ur own ,which you know bc u keep holding your breath to check.
