A comission I paid a friend for came in. My mage oc Charlotte and her romantic interest Emmrich. Doomed romance [Spoilers she dies twice and you'd only get it if you knew her story].

He told Emmrich to not become undead.

He told Emmrich he doesn't need tutoring in healing magic.

When Kalen was 5, his village was attacked by Darkspawn and his parents were blighted. They turned and he survived by hiding in his bedroom. Grey Wardens would later come and save him and while other Wardens cleared and dealt with his blighted parents. A young mage kept him outside so he didn't see anything. She distracted him with a piece of chocolate and made him feel safe. This is why chocolate always brings him comfort and is his favourite treat.

He was then taken to a Chantry Orphanage where he would live for about 4 years. His magic would surface in response to being bullied when he changed his name, using an ice spell to freeze the boy who teased him and killing him, accidentally. When the Chantry sisters saw what happened he was knocked out and he woke up in the circle he'd live in until he was 16.

Was taken in at Weisshaupt at 16 and would act as Elissa's Cousland's ward, until she left shortly after his 20th birthday. They would travel all over Thedas together along with Carver Hawke who'd become almost like a big brother to him. He'd make the Warden-Ensign rank under their guidance.

After Elissa and Carver left to find the cure for the Calling, he'd be sent on a mission of which he'd be the only survivor. Jowan Glastrum would blame the loss of the other two Warden's on him and demote him back to an Acolyte. Glastrum would continue to find reason to hold him back.

From 13-16 he'd fall in love and have a very inappropriate relationship with a templar at the Circle. Who in the end, would break his trust and his heart, causing him to stay away from relationships until he met Davrin ten years later.

I needed something to get the creative juices flowing this was fun.

I'm going to try and do mostly new facts for those who've been following me, but some old ones for any new people just following.

Amir Mercar 🧙🏾🌪️⛈️

Amir's magic first emerged when he was ten years old. His father had taken him to a slave galley in Ventus to show him the harsh reality of Tevinter and why it needs to change. Amir locked eyes with a young slave about his age, height, and complexion. He couldn't explain how he did it, but all he knew was overcome with a desire to free him and "BOOM!" A lightning bolt was conjured from thin air shattering the boys chains, who ran off to freedom. Charon immediately sent him the Imperial Circle in Minrathous for both his own safety and so that he could hopefully learn from the best.

2. The first time he fell in love was with a fellow mage in the Circle. Though the two loved each other very much, she was arranged to marry an Altus mage and thus she was forced to end their relationship which severely broke his heart.

3. Though Amir was formally introduced to the Shadow Dragons via a former lover, the first time he heard about them was through his friend and mentor, Rakeem (who intentionally planted this seed).

4. Aside from Wicked Grace, Amir is also very good at Chess and has also beaten the entire Veilguard at it (without cheating).

5. Amir's birth parents are Rivaini and he does his best to honor their culture with his style of dress. He typically combines pieces of Tevinter fashion with Rivaini fashion to uphold both cultures he's apart of and can even speak a bit of the Riviani language.
