When I was watching YouTube growing up one of the things I heard about Americans going to Europe was we do not adapt right? Yet, Americans are telling Europeans “hey buddy it’s not a good idea to walk to MetLife considering where it’s at 1) it’s a 6 lane highway 2) yes the speed limit is 55 or 65 but you’re still having people going 90 on a regular day maybe more 3) because of that you will get squashed like a bug or 4) the police will either arrest you or shoot you since it’s illegal to walk on the interstate in some places including here and 5) the heat here is probably worse than your heat because our heat isn’t what gets ya it’s the humidity so yeah it’s a mile but walking that mile not a good idea” and instead of being “oh I never knew that before okay” it’s been “You Americans are all so lazy” “you’re saying you’re gonna hit us with your cars” “but it one mile you seriously can’t walk one mile” like y’all don’t want to adapt either

and also thinking anyone wants this to be how it’s set up? i’m sure the residents of new jersey would appreciate their stadium not being in the middle of a swap as well. but they didn’t get a say in the matter actually!

anyways it made me think about how insane texas highways are and if this discourse will continue through then bc … ur not walking across this

And then you look in the comments and it's just a bunch of Europeans going "you Americans don't know how to walk, we will walk there" and the options are dying in a swamp or dying via 80mph collision with a Honda Civic.

I don't know what to tell you, if you don't like the infrastructure don't come. We don't like it either, not a single American is defending the infrastructure they're just begging Europeans to not get hurt or put themselves in danger and every single European is being so nasty about it.

I didn't.

I am very rare in that I did not experience medical violence.

Why? Because I learned what intersexuality was as a young age, and I actively fought against what doctors wanted to do to me. All the way down to legal research on what medical care minors can be forced into. I remember walking into that doctor's appointment with the state law written down that proved that if I did not consent they could not do surgery.

Republicans want to raise the age of voting to 21 because 18-21yos voted in droves in the Midterms. This is the same Republican Party that believes that an 18yo is mature enough to purchase an AR15 and a 10yo is old enough to be a mom.
