I don’t talk to anyone unless I know they’re from ssoblr tbh

I try to act like I would if children approach me irl (happens quite often when I’m walking my cat), the difference is that irl they know I’m an adult and in the game they don’t. I try to be polite and answer their questions if they have any, but if they ask me to join their club or something I just say no thanks, sorry! Sometimes I just straight up ignore them lol. Sometimes I can act like a bit of a youth worker, especially when there is drama in the chat where someone is being really mean, but I try not to get involved too much.

there was a learning curve for me on sso on how to kindly reject kids lol. some of them get REALLY pushy about befriending u. i agree w above, kinda treat it like u have a professional boundary like a teacher. simple stuff like group races and asking questions its fine to interact, if they start asking u to do any more than that just say no thanks. u dont owe anyone explanations and its ok to just ignore them if theyre pushy. its part of practicing social boundaries, both for adults and kids. if u rly want to explain bc a kid seems hurt, saying “sorry, im an adult and i dont want to talk that much to kids” or something similar might help, or just teleport away to exit the situation and theyll forget about u quickly enough.
