I will say... as beautiful as everything else in the game is, there were a lot of really ugly mount options that I had to work around, or that I hoped would look good and was disappointed by. I do have some questions about the aesthetic choices made...

Such as why didn't you make the paint and polka dot (appaloosa) markings white on the brown Dawnspur coat so they would actually look like the natural horse patterns they're based on, Palia? Why didn't you adjust the polka dot pattern on the horses so the mirroring doesn't stretch dots across the back in weird ugly stripes? You clearly took that into account by darkening the backs on the polka dotted Riffrocs, so I know you noticed. And when you designed the face marking on the Akwinduu's dapple pattern to go with the gray coat by putting that rim of lighter gray around it, did you notice how bad it looks on every coat color that has actual color? Why did you decide to make the shiny sheen look... like that? Why did your research into the names of horse colors fail so hilariously?

(they call that buckskin Akwinduu a roan... I guess they got as far as learning that roan means white hairs mixed with a base coat color so they just uniformly lightened the coat, making it look like a cream gene instead. And then there's the chestnuts. I know people who don't know horses often get bay and chestnut mixed up, which explains why the chestnut Dawnspur looks bay, but why is the chestnut Akwinduu gray???)

I did not listen to the single answer I got on my post asking which Druid-themed outfit I should wear for the Style Rider finals.

Couldn't be helped. I wanted a color scheme that was more "me". (I also really wanted to use that steampunk top)

Is that a Trump costume?

For all that I'm a perfectionist about my outfits in Star Stable (colors gotta match as much as possible, down to the specific shades and the little accents like metal buckles and buttons, but the pieces can't all be from the same set cuz that's too easy, etc etc), I'm still surprised by how well I'm doing. I'm not used to winning things that rely on popular vote. Only reason I win Championships as often as I do is my character level and the decade+ of practice.

It looks likely that I'll get into the Style Rider finals. Before I knew the Druid theme would be specifically for a final between highest voted contestants, I was just going to do one of the outfits I've been using for years - the green flowery one (my "gardening" outfit) or the dark blue one (my "adventuring" outfit).

However, I expect most others are going to wear very similar outfits, especially to the first, so I put together a couple more with the goal of being eye-catching. The light blue and yellow color scheme is outside of my comfort zone and the last one feels a little busy with all the different colors, but I want other opinions.

So two questions:

For the theme "Druids", which would you vote for?

What's funny is almost every other person in my group for this round is wearing either the same top as me or the raven knight one.

Here are my next two entries, for themes "witch" and "villain".

I'm particularly pleased with the villain one. Not the outfit I originally planned to use. Turned out kind of Barbarian Queen. I feel like a character out of Xena: Warrior Princess.
