it's crazy how awful the lighting in land of forgotten memories is like how did I get away with this

if I still had the original files I would totally make divergence remastered to like fix up some scenes and have better lighting. but those all got burned in the great motherboard frying of like late 2023 or early 2024 and is why I don't use windows computers anymore (a lot to learn from this @pow3rweb) and I didn't start to care about backing up files until I got an external ssd

@abrtq still has a lot of the original character files and I don't for some reason, but all blender files are like completely gone whoops.

actually funny story that's kinda related

like the only reason collision kinda diverted to be more legacy of the scythe focused for divergence is because I really wanted to have a 3d character in a cutscene

that's also why there was like a 10 month gap between oh golly and collision just because I didn't really have any spark until I thought of the 3d idea

failwhale was very much thrown in there and was not planned from the beginning, if that wasn't obvious.

like before I thought about failwhale being the boss/creator of rapper failboat, rapper was just kinda like, the manifestation of the dirty bubblegum sweater video, which is like why he was called "DBS" in the first cutscene.

#yeah #that one rapper guy or whatever #lore pad or whatever #no 3d characters in 9.99 btw just environments
