2019 was a big year for myself and my family. Since losing my brother exactly one year ago to Stage IV Cancer, I have been suffering through tremendous heartbreak. As much as it hurts losing him, I do have countless memories of us since childhood to help brighten the dark days. Now, as I look back on our last family trip during the Summer of 2019. Words can’t describe the feelings I get when I look back on these photos and remember our time together as a family. God do I miss him.

First foray into acrylics. Took a long time to get the colors correct. Reproduction of The Three Sphinxes of Bikini. I love Dali's work, and happy how this turned out. Going to try and get some more acrylic work done over the summer. Practice makes perfect!

I watched a documentary about stylized posters and why they don’t show up as much as they used to and its because of focus group testing. A bunch of studios test out these posters on random people and when they show posters like the spiderman one their like

“The poster is a cartoon that means the movie is a cartoon, im an adult i don’t watch cartoons”

They prefer the dull poster since it has all the celebrities because their like “hey i recognize that person i like them i will see the movie”

tldr: posters today are dull cause a lot of people are dumb
