6. How would your OC respond to being offered a large payment from an admirer in exchange for performing a striptease, posing nude or something yet more daring?

KOL — doubt and bemusement. like, sure, if that’s what someone wants, but they’re getting a shit deal—there’s nothing sexy or enticing about kol and she absolutely can’t perform a striptease or give good head or anything worth paying for. she’d stop at sleeping with someone for money; she’s got a complicated enough relationship with autonomy and just wouldn’t want to fuck anyone for a payout (unless the payout were like. really really good, maybe.)

MINAH — it would depend a bit. she doesn’t want to be paid for sex/intimacy outright, but she’d absolutely accept a favor or a gift in exchange for a private show. nothing recorded though, and no touching—a striptease is fine, or some other performance, but she’s not posing for pictures or letting someone touch her. she doesn’t like to be so concrete

PHILLIPA — discomfort and a polite refusal. she’d be horribly uncomfortable being paid for any kind of sexual favor, even from an admirer or someone she had some kind of relationship with

BRAN — she’d be sort of insulted, honestly. she might take a token of an admirer’s favor, but she doesn’t want to be paid for her body or her intimacy and finds it unattractive that someone thinks they could/would have to buy that off her

18. What might your OC buy a lover or romantic partner, if they were looking for something saucy or suggestive?  Scented massage oils? A set of racy underwear? A full set of leather implements and restraints? Or something else entirely?

KOL — lmao

MINAH — minah’s not buying anyone sexy bedroom gifts. she doesn’t like the implications of that kind of gift-giving; nobody she’s sleeping with is that serious (and gift-giving is significant for her)

PHILLIPA — sexy nightwear maybe? special lotions? it would depend on her partner, but she’d want to get them something specific that they would appreciate and wasn’t terribly suggestive. she prefers something classy. maybe she'd book a couple's spa day

BRAN — bran is absolutely buying sabine scented massage oils and bath oils and lotions and all other sort of lovely nice things that give bran an excuse to get her hands all over her. it’s a real win for both of them honestly.

For Bran? What WAS her first time like?

her first time was a fumbling, eager evening spent with a sailor who was in squall’s end (pirate town she ended up in for a few months after she left home) for only a night or two. it was incredibly spontaneous, but at the time bran had a tiny attic bedroom at the inn/tavern where she was working and she hit it off with the stranger who propositioned her, and it was easy to take her upstairs for the night after her shift was over.

bran knew she liked women—she’d figured that out before she ever left home—but she’d never had the chance for anything more than making out behind closed doors. while she had some expectations about what it would be like, she hadn’t really imagined anything specific. the sailor was sweet about her uncertainty and a generous guide, and bran knows she was incredibly lucky to have such a good experience, given the sorts of people one could find in squall’s end who would gladly take advantage of an eager young woman.

5. Has your OC ever had an experience – or been exposed to an idea – that awoke something in them sexually - or led to them developing an unexpected kink or preference?

DAI — no, but if the right experience or idea appeared then it could awaken something in him. he just hasn’t stumbled across the right trigger (coughbondagecough) yet

KOL — kol is like one crossed wire/weird experience away from discovering dom/sub dynamics and would love to be told what to do by a hot older woman who praises her for behaving so well. this has nothing to do with any of her existing mommy/authority issues, obviously.

BRAN — absolutely yes but I cannot be bothered to think up specifics right now. bran “try anything once” ar calagri has absolutely had her eyes opened to some kind of new kink or preference by trying something on a whim. she loves a new experience.

13. What physical qualities or parts of the body do they find most alluring in other people?  Are there any that they find a bit less appealing?

DAI — not quite a physical quality but competency is a big thing for him—he admires assurance and skill. martial skill, obviously, but other ability is also attractive in his eyes. he’s less attentive to the physical package; that’s kind of a secondary awareness for him

20. Does your OC enjoy foreplay and like to extend it for some time?  Or would they sooner get straight down to business as soon as possible?  If their partner is differently wired in this regard then how do they compromise?

DAI — he likes foreplay, though how much depends on the day and the mood. he likes things with purpose and direction, so as long as he’s got that, he’s happy to take as long as zaref wants to get to the main event

KOL — she hasn’t really had much experience with foreplay and isn’t sure how she feels about it. she’s mostly inclined to take a partner’s lead, though she’d start moving things along if she felt they weren’t going anywhere. what's the point of sex if you're not gonna get off sooner rather than later?

VESPER — she's pretty touch starved, so Everything is sensitive early on, but actually once she's used to being touched she’s not really that sensitive, generally speaking? her sides/waist are sort of sensitive and she likes being held or touched, but it takes a lot for touch to become overstimulating

MINAH — her tits are pretty sensitive and she enjoys having them played with, but not to the point of being overstimulating

KOL — the insides of her thighs are particularly sensitive. she doesn’t like attention focused on that, though; she doesn’t like being that overwhelmed or uncontrolled. she has a hard time letting go enough to purely enjoy anything

BRAN — she’s most sensitive around her neck and thighs. loves a hickey (giving and receiving). at times it can get a little overstimulating, but she doesn’t mind that 😏

Kol & Phillipa — answered!

Minah — minah’s got drunk girl in a bathroom level friend-making abilities. she’s cheerful, outgoing, a good listener, and is always down to hang out. never mind that she’s sort of frustratingly vague about herself and never really bothers to correct or confirm anyone’s assumptions—she’s a good time gal! a carefree soul! (she really /is/ a good listener, and generous with her time and attention, and prone to injecting cheer wherever she can. she can be a little blunt or dismissive at times, but she means well.) currently her most important friendships are with the warden squad (yay trauma bonding), the extended warden collective (eöldir and eluria in particular; she likes how solid eöldir is and eluria reminds her sooo much of her little sister), and some long-term members of the orchestra (who she misses). once upon a time eilir was her best friend but not anymore

Exit: Has your OC ever had someone important leave their life in a way that was unremarkable, unintentional, or clumsy? How do they feel about it? Is there any chance they'll meet again?

Kol — clumsy and unintentional describes the birds breaking apart as kids, but I think this is also particularly true of elodie's older brother leon. there was a week or so in there where they were the only two left who knew exactly what had happened, who had seen sora die and also been left behind. they never got to talk or anything because kol was super duper grounded, but I think she at least saw him around and there was a strange sort of comfort in knowing he was nearby. and then she was sent away, and that was that. it was super weird to see him again, and for him to try to fit back into the role of older brother when neither of them are those kids anymore

Phillipa — nobody important, no. people don’t really tend to leave brighthorne or society, and certainly nobody phillipa is that close to (yet)

For Good: Is there anyone in your OC's life who had an undeniable positive impact on who they are as a person? How did knowing this person improve your OC's life?

Minah & Phillipa — answered!

Kol — top of the list is 100% the historical birds (watcher’s eye edition). imagine who kol might have been without them (imagine if she’d only been able to make friends with the people her mother approved of). even when they were annoying and arguing the birds were people she could be herself with and she got to explore new things with them and the people she knew through them (especially bug’s family) were so good for her. whatever seed of genuine hope and loyalty and righteousness she retained through the empire was planted by the birds’ friendship

For Bad: Is there anyone who had an undeniable negative impact on your OC’s life? How did your OC deal with that change? Have they been able to move on?

Care: How does your OC engage in self-care, if at all? If they don't, why not?

Minah — minah feels at her best and most settled when all her gear is organized and working well so self-care for her tends towards genuinely taking care of things—reorganizing her belts/pouches/pockets, checking inventory of her consumables, maintenance for her weapons and her fiddle, a long bath, touching up her hair, etc. follow all that with a good meal and good company and she’s feeling miles better

Phillipa — she likes to have lady christina over for tea and gossip. up until things went…. well, badly, game night was also an opportunity for her to rest and recharge with friends. she’s quite sociable and enjoys low-energy, low-effort company, so hanging out with friends and family is quite nice for her

Kol — imagine kol doing self-care. rip. kol does self care the way your oil and sharpen a blade—she makes sure she's still in good working order and still sharp. (sometimes she reads. that's nice.)

Social Circle: What's your OC's social circle? Are they obligated to spend time with others in their circle, or are they happy to be there? Has their social standing and social circle ever changed, and if so, how did your OC feel about it?

Minah — these days minah mostly hangs out with conscripts and entertainers and petty crooks. her social circle is pretty low down the social totem pole, which is how she likes it. it’s a far cry from the social circle she kept as a young lady in starkhaven, but she feels far safer with the common folk than among the nobility she grew up with. having to interface with nobility for the wardens is uncomfortable at best and anxiety inducing most of the time

Phillipa — her social circle is most of upper brighthorne and is very large!! she’s obligated to spend time out in society and keep up appearances as a young (newly unattached) woman of her station. she genuinely enjoys it, but lately she’s started to consider that she might enjoy it and also like a little more flexibility in her social sphere and social pressures, which is a thought that's been a tad troubling for her. she’s making some very good friends to help the process along, though

Kol — her social circle is pretty much just the birds (and whoever the birds need to interface with). she’s not good at socializing and doesn’t try to improve. sometimes she talks to other brawlers or drunks and the other lowlifes who frequent the same bars, but she's not making any friends there. her social standing used to be way better—she used to be an officer in the imperial navy—but these days she’s pretty much one step up from the gutter. she doesn't think too hard about it

🤔What are things they picked up from their parent(s)/guardian(s) that weren’t intentionally taught?

DAI — he’s got a double dose of his father’s stubbornness and sense of duty. he’s absolutely a mini-me of his dad, especially who his dad was during the war. (much like his father, he’s also starting to mellow as he ages and experiences more weird shit)

BRAN — she's got her mom's sense of humor and shades of her no-nonsense attitude. she's also got her father's enormous heart, though she's a little better at managing it than he was—she saw how grief laid him low and is determined to never let the loss outweigh the love, no matter what she faces

PHILLIPA — she has her father's taste in music. she's also picked up her mother's habit of using cantrips to help with planning; a minor illusion can be so incredibly helpful when it comes to organizing and communicating.

🤯Do they have aunts/uncles/siblings and/or cousins?

DAI — yes he has a whole drow side of his family he didn’t meet until he went off adventuring! he has an uncle and a cousin who loves crafts and a pair of grandparents (including his very disapproving and horrible grandmother).

BRAN — she has a younger brother who’s about 12 years younger than she is. I think she maybe has a paternal uncle and a couple of cousins but nobody on her mother’s side.

PHILLIPA — she’s got at least two aunts, one of whom was with her when she was introduced into society. her parents have a handful of friends who are also essentially aunts and uncles, even if there’s no blood relation. I want to say she has a couple cousins, maybe on her mother’s side? not blackburns but still family. they’re all a little older and not out in society this season.

⚠️Do they go to their parent(s)/guardian(s) for advice regularly? Only in emergencies? Never?

ENIKO — all of eniko’s parents and/or guardians are dead so he doesn’t go to them for advice. but he didn’t go to them growing up either; his parents wanted nothing to do with him and his eventual guardian/boss/master wasn’t the sort of guy to go to for advice; either you figured things out or you faced the consequences. nikö learned really early to be self-sufficient

DAI — dai had to take on a lot of responsibilities pretty early on as a kid in a war zone (and then a caretaker for his father) but he still turned to his dad for advice when he needed it. when he couldn’t talk to him because he was too far away, he wrote letters he never intended to send still asking his dad for help. even just imagining what his father would say was a big help to him. (and he prays to to pelor, his other dad)

KOL — kol stopped going to her mom (or her step-dad) for advice very young. she learned early on that it wouldn’t be anything useful to her, and her time in the empire only reinforced her certainty that people in positions of authority shouldn’t be approached for help. everything has to be figured out independently, and often from scratch.

PHILLIPA — she went to her parents for help with things growing up, but she doesn’t so much these days. they’re generous and well-meaning but they’re also a bit removed from the immediate pressures of society. many of the things she needs help with are things she knows they’d be sympathetic about but don’t really have advice for, and when phillipa’s at a point where she needs guidance or advice she really wants something concrete to work with. she tends to turn to friends, or her siblings, or just spend a long time thinking about it and hoping she figures it out herself.

🪢How did they bond with their parent(s)/guardian(s) in childhood? Do they still bond that way?

ENIKO — eniko’s mom wanted nothing to do with him (he was an embarrassment for her) and his father hated him (as a sign of his wife’s infidelity). but around the time he started being useful around the farm, he and his father sort of figured out a brusque working relationship that had the seeds for something better. unfortunately, his parents died when he was young and he eventually wound up as the ward of a very bad man whose idea of bonding was showing eniko how much worse his life could be and telling him he was lucky he’d been taken in and given food and a roof and an education. it worked for a while and then it didn’t and then eniko killed him so. they don’t really bond anymore.

DAI — dai and his dad mostly bonded through spending a lot of time together. especially after the war, eating meals together (and taking tea after) was a big thing for them. they really both only had each other so they relied on each other a lot and that brought them close

KOL — when she was very young her parents used to read to her, or tell her stories—her dad especially was good at it, and her mom would offer commentary, and it was sort of a collective storytelling/argument/critical analysis thing. after her dad died, that stopped, and “bonding time” with her mother was either eating together or sitting pretty and not saying anything while her mother entertained the other better-off ladies in town. kol hated it and it mostly just drove the two further apart

PHILLIPA — so many afternoon teas and games and reading aloud. phillipa gets her preference for word games and puzzles from her mom, and the two of them would go back and forth endlessly. she also helped her mother with planning events at their country estate, which she deeply enjoyed.

🤝Did they get along with their parent(s)/guardian(s) in childhood? Do they now?

PHILLIPA — yes! there were some tense points growing up, of course, but overall phillipa got on quite well with her parents (and the guardians who kept an eye on her during her first season out, particularly her aunt). she’s always been quite mature and well behaved and as she’s grown up she’s only gotten closer to her parents and the other adults in her life. she’s got a bit of eldest daughter syndrome where they treat her a tiny bit more like another adult rather than their daughter but phillipa has never minded that

KOL — up until her dad died kol got on great with her parents (though also she was six so that’s not saying much). after her father’s death and her mom’s remarriage things became really strained between kol and her mom, to the point that kol was actively and regularly lying to her. she’d really perfected the art of keeping her head down and lying and not making a fuss, but then sora died and her best friends left and kol’s mom didn’t let her say goodbye and kol really didn’t handle that well. it was the first and last time kol talked back to her mom; she was immediately shipped off to an empire training academy and they haven’t seen each other since. they really don’t get along

MINAH — minah got along so well with her parents, especially her dad. he was a magistrate and businessman, and everything she ever learned about law or justice or trade she learned from him. his death absolutely wrecked her.

📖What values did their parent(s)/guardian(s) really drill into their head?

PHILLIPA — phillipa’s parents drilled her in patience, decorum, and graciousness. phillipa brings her own extroversion, wit, and curiosity, and together that’s an excellent combination

KOL — kol’s mother valued appearances and superiority/power above all else. as part of her rebellion, kol tried to reject both, but unfortunately the empire also valued appearances and superiority/power, and her petty pre-teen rebellion was nothing compared to the might of the empire’s training programs. these days a fair bit of her self-loathing comes from not being able to maintain superiority and power (and appearances) in difficult situations; she’s always been taught that being weak is humiliating and she can’t escape that mindset

MINAH — her parents drilled a sense of justice and doing right by the people who rely on you into her head. as part of the ruling council of starkhaven (and in the wake of the tevinter occupation) her parents were especially attentive to issues of power and might vs right and being a good leader. add to that the fact that minah would one day be the princess of starkhaven and rule over the city at her husband’s side and everything about ruling and patience and generosity became even more important. and then they died and she ran away to become a petty thief and a circus acrobat. but their lessons are still in there; being a warden has her falling back on a lot of those old values and instincts

✂️Have they completely cut off one or more of their parents/guardians? Why?

PHILLIPA — phillipa has never cut anyone out of her life (even when she probably should)

KOL — kol hasn’t completely cut her mother out of her life, but her current situation has made it pretty impossible to keep in touch which is absolutely fine by kol. kol resents the hell out of her mom for sending her to the empire and never having her back and wanting her to conform to a role she doesn’t want to fill (and then not even appreciating the work kol has done to fit in). the last real proper communication they had was when her mom informed her she wouldn’t be coming to kol’s graduation ceremony after all, and kol didn’t have enough leave time to visit watcher’s eye before shipping out. they don’t keep in touch. kol mostly assumes her mom wishes she’d never been born. chill normal things.

BRAN — bran wouldn’t say she’s cut her dad out of her life but she doesn’t go home and doesn’t write him or keep in touch in any way. he’s been distant ever since her mom died though, so their relationship has really sort of faded over the years even before she ran away from home

MINAH — minah’s parents are dead so they’re not around to be cut out of her life. if they were alive they'd still be present.

🗺️What’s the maximum distance they’d ever live from their family?

PHILLIPA — phillipa can’t imagine living further than a few days’ travel from her family. the blackburns are all very close, especially phillipa and her younger siblings. everyone is pretty much always in the same region, except for when patrick was away at war

KOL — literally as far as humanly possible. her family and her hometown hold no sway for her and she never wants to deal with the empire or any of its holdings ever again. she'd be fine never going back home ever again. it's not even home anymore.

BRAN — technically bran moved to the other side of the continent and was fine with it. one of her biggest goals is to sail across the sea that nobody has ever sailed across (and returned from) so she’s really perfectly happy to go as far as her adventures take her. she’s not much of a homebody

MINAH — up until she was about 17 she was happy to live and get married and grow old in her hometown with her parents right down the street. now circumstances have led her to travel far and wide and she’s afraid of going back to her childhood home and facing the last of her surviving family (and everything else she left behind)
