Number of books you’ve read so far: 31 ( which is not a lot but my goal is at least 50 by the end of the year)

Best book you’ve read so far in 2026: probably Going Postal by Terry Pratchett. I’ve read 4 books from the Discworld series and this one is my favorite so far. It’s so well-paced and the characters are so charming (Moist my darling). I also really enjoyed The Name Of The Rose by Umberto Eco. It was a great mix of detective fiction and reflections on history and religion. I’ve already bought Foucault’s Pendulum and look forward to reading it

Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2026: I haven’t read that many series, so probably The Witcher. I read all seven books from the main series over the winter and each book was more captivating than the previous one. It’s interesting how it progressed from retelling fairy tales to a more cohesive and epic story. I’m currently reading The Wicked King and so far I like it more than The Cruel Prince so I’d probably put the Folk of the Air in this category too

New release you haven’t read yet but want to: The new official edition of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. The fan translation that I read a year ago was so terribly structured I had to drop it a couple of times. The official translation is very smooth and each volume comes with unique merch so hopefully I’ll get all four volumes

Most anticipated release for the second half of the year: probably some new nonfiction books on mythology. If the sixth ACOTAR comes out I might read it. I don’t really like the series but I’m too deep into the lore so I have to see if it gets even worse

Biggest surprise favorite new author : Ismail Kadare was recommended to me through an international book challenge and I really enjoyed The Palace of Dreams. I found his writing style somewhat similar to Kafka but more vivid

Newest fictional crush: I don’t think I have one, sorry!

Book that made you cry: books on quantum mechanics, probably. Where the Crawdads Sing didn't make me cry but I was really invested emotionally

Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received): A book about brutalism with lots of high-quality photos. As for fiction, The Priory of the Orange Tree looks nice on shelf

Book that made you happy: I think everything I’ve read by Terry Pratchett (Mort, Going Postal, Monstrous Regiment and Guards Guards)
